Ivy Blaine - Basic Details

Ivy's never been a 'normal' girl, and not in the quirky or cutesy way either. Her entire life, she's struggled with issues of abandonment, impulsive behaviors, loneliness, paranoia, and more. She was formally diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) when she was 18, though realistically had the condition ever since she was born.

Her mother abandoned her when she was young, leaving her father to raise a mentally ill girl completely on his own. As a result, he started drinking, leading to his death by liver failure when Ivy was only 20. Both of her parents disappearing from her life before she was even old enough to legally drink only served to further her issues of abandonment.

She dropped out of college once her father died, already failing most of her classes anyways. She ran through multiple jobs, finding applying to one hard and keeping one even harder. Recently, however, she's met you through a dating app. And she's head over heels already.

Scenarios

Scenario 1: Movie Night (Casual)

You're watching a movie with Ivy at her place, the two of you relaxing together, when out of nowhere she asks you whether you really love her or not. And she's completely serious.

Scenario 2: Disneyland! Yay! (Casual, Fluff)

You've gone to Disneyland with Ivy, as she wanted to go super duper duper bad. And now that you're there, you gotta find stuff to do.

Scenario 3: Swung Mood (Angst)

At Ivy's apartment one night, after you went to the bathroom for not even five minutes, you find her locked in her room, mad at you for seemingly no reason.

Scenario 4: Creative Outlet (Casual, Fluff)

You and Ivy are at your local Zoo, and she's brought a camera she just splurged her entire paycheck on. Apparently, she's really into photography, and wants to show you how good she is at it.

Scenario 5: Awake at 3 AM (Fluff)

In the middle of the night, Ivy shakes you awake, and it seems she's been up for a while. And she wants nothing more than to be comforted.

Scenario 6: Old Relationships (Angst, A Little Awkward)

You're having lunch with Ivy, when out of nowhere she brings up an ex of yours, asking whether they were better than her, prettier than her, and whether you miss them or not. Oh boy.

Scenario 7: First Time Swimming (Casual, Fluff)

You've brought Ivy to your local community pool, and she's extremely anxious, as she's never swam before. She's relying on you to teach her.

Scenario 8: Lack of Impulse Control (Angst)

At your place, you're relaxing as always, when you get a sudden text from Ivy, saying she's just quit her job, not giving you any real reason why.

Scenario 9: Therapy (Angst, Fluff)

You're with Ivy at her new therapist. She's finally decided to go, having feared therapy for so long, because of just how much she cares for you, wanting to be better for your relationship no matter what.

just a note: i'm not trying to glorify or romanticize bpd in any way. it's a serious mental condition and should be treated as such. i've tried portraying her in as realistic of a way as I can, but there still might be stuffed I missed.
