Iridescent Prismback
The Iridescent Prismback, also known as Light Eaters and Spectrum Gliders, is a rare true hexapod species originating from ancient silica deposits, first observed by desert monks. Measuring up to 45 feet in length and possessing a wingspan of 60 to 70 feet, they have crystalline bodies that refract sunlight into vibrant colors. Their primary diet consists of sunlight, absorbing photonic energy and creating "dead zones" in their habitats through color depletion. Solitary and territorial, they communicate via bioluminescent patterns and reproduce through crystalline fission. Noted for their coherent photonic lance and hypnotic strobe abilities, they are impervious to most attacks but vulnerable to sonic resonance. Revered and feared, they have significant cultural impacts and are seen as guardians of light by desert nomads.
