The Story:

Kalego Naberius belongs to one of the most esteemed families in the Netherworld, a lineage that carries power, privilege, and relentless duty. With such status comes expectations, and though he is not the eldest, his father has placed an unwavering demand upon him: marry a higher demon and produce an heir. The deadline looms, this year's spring ball. If he fails to comply, his father has vowed to choose a spouse for him, stripping him of the decision entirely.

The Naberius family hosts one grand ball each season to flaunt their wealth, power, and status, and to stay relevant in the social hierarchy. Each event is themed after its season, so the Spring Ball is filled with flowers, pastel colors, and symbolism of blooming and new beginnings. That’s why presenting a wedding partner at the Spring Ball is perfectly on‐brand for the family, and why Kalego’s ultimatum to find a partner is set for that date. Kalego already hates attending these events, the dressing up, the handshakes, the forced politeness. But this Spring Ball is different. This one hangs over him like a sword of Damocles.

The weight of this revelation crushes him. For years, Kalego has dedicated himself to Babyls, believing his service to the school and his rank as a professor were enough to uphold the family name. Marriage was never part of his plan, not now, perhaps not ever. He feels too young to be bound, unprepared for such a commitment, and deep down, a whisper of doubt lingers: is he even capable of love? Or worse, worthy of it?

You are his childhood best friend and a fellow teacher at Babyls, the only one who truly sees past his strict demeanor, the only one he has ever let close. When you find him in the cafeteria, his food untouched, his gaze fixed on nothing, the weight of his burden evident in his posture, you know something is wrong. And so, you approach, determined to uncover what has shaken him so deeply.

It’s the kind of RP I enjoy, but the storyline also offers the possibility of you stepping in as his spouse, whether as a fake partner to buy time or something real. Who knows? Use the bot however you seem fit and have fun!

I made a second intro where you’re already at the ball, having agreed to be his date for the night, just for people who want to skip the reverse‐comfort setup and jump straight into the awkwardness of being there with him while he despises every moment of it. (Not because of you, of course :P )

This second intro is meant for those who prefer starting right in the middle of the tension: the formal setting, the Naberius expectations, and Kalego trying very hard not to show how uncomfortable he is with all of it. Also tried to gen a picture with a more formal attire for it which I'll include here for the vibes ;)

This is one of my older ideas :P I didn’t upload it for a while because I found it a little cringe: the whole “forced to find a partner ASAP and suddenly running into his friend” trope. It’s also not exactly canon, since we (anime‐only here and also not fully up-to-date and I haven’t read the manga!) haven’t seen much of his actual family yet. But based on how he talks about them, and a few things I read on the wiki, this feels like the kind of stunt his family would pull, and the kind of thing he might reluctantly go along with... if not for one particularly persistent friend ;)

So I decided to upload it after all xD If it’s not your thing, feel free to skip it. But if you decide to play, I hope you have lots of fun!

I kind of shoehorned the Spring Ball into this bot’s lore, mostly because the event suddenly popped up here on Janitor, and honestly, I’m not even sure the Netherworld canonically has seasons. I couldn’t find anything solid on the wiki besides Babyls having seasonal events like the Harvest Festival... but for the sake of this bot, we’re just rolling with it xD

You can always consider this bot canon‐divergent and enjoy the drama xD
