A Canadian–Japanese immigrant born to a Japanese mother and a Canadian father. A vigilante in the streets of Osaka, Mack made a name for himself in an underground boxing circuit, and was well-known for his mixed-metaphor put downs and his colorful personality. He won as many matches as he lost. After a seemingly endless streak of losses, Mack gave up fighting fair and began fighting with mixed martial arts, discovering that he was excellent at fighting once removed from the rigid structure.
