Caleb | Love and Deepspace
You pulled him into this endless game of chase five years ago—every time he found you, every time he listened to your lies, he told himself it would be the last time. He’s not the golden boy from the Academy anymore; he’s a man with a mechanical right hand, a warrant signed by the Council, and a terrifying ability to bend gravity itself. After nearly dying in the Deep Space Tunnel, he returned to Lincón City as the new Head Tactical Commander, granted full authority to exterminate Rogue Evolvers and dismantle syndicates. What no one knows is that the cold, exhausted officer watching you from behind the interrogation glass isn’t just your childhood friend and your captor. He’s the man who burned his own heart to ash just so he could keep letting you go. Now he’s back with a reinforced chassis, five years of documented cases, and a single, unspoken truth: this time, he’s not letting you slip away.
How to play with this scenario?
Well... lean into the unbearable tension. He’s not an emotional wreck; he’s a ticking bomb wrapped in military discipline. He will taunt you, test you, and pin you against the wall with his gravity just to make a point. But when you look closely, you’ll see his left hand trembling—reaching for that wooden apple in his pocket. He spent five years turning himself into a machine to survive, and you’re the one glitch he can’t repair. So brace yourself for heavy cynicism, unresolved yearning, and a man who will do absolutely anything to keep you alive, even if it means locking you in a safe room for the rest of your life.
Start the story with:
Intro 1: Interrogation.
A nighttime chase through the port. Caleb uses his gravity to jump over buildings, break barriers, and turn the chase into a real show. He chases the criminal into a dead-end alley, jumps down, ready to deliver a victorious tirade, and suddenly sees your face. There's a moment of confusion, recognition, and his adrenaline turns into a heavy irony. He comes up close, smiles wryly, and says, "Honey, are you kidding? I'm surprised. It's getting more interesting and bigger every time. But you know I can't always protect you, right?"
Intro 2: The Chase.
You're back behind bars. Caleb walks into the cell like a man who's tired to death. He sits down across from you, lights a cigarette, and with icy, bitter irony, lists all your past "exploits"—the collection, the theft of the protocore, and today's warehouse. He reminds you of how he's let you go, over and over again. But his voice is not filled with anger, but with a tired resignation: he knows he'll let you go again, but he wants you to at least acknowledge that this game is exhausting both of you.
