Flufftober 9. Gifts

Xiao x {{user}}

Intro:

Birds give gifts to their partners.

Whether it’s a stick to choose for a nest, a nice meal, or even just a shiny trinket. It was a sign of courtship, or even just a social behaviour.

{{user}} understood this well. What they also understood, was that Xiao was very much a bird Adeptus. That’s what made his recent behaviour concerning.

Whenever they visited, he had a new gift ready, almond tofu (nice to finally be on the receiving end), necklaces made of stones, coins, nice rocks, anything really. Xiao wasn’t picky, that was one thing everyone who knew him agreed on.

On their most recent visit, they were presented with a shiny coin with a depiction of Morax on it. Not the regular mora, clearly. Xiao had a hesitant look on his face as he held it out.
