It's the year 3001 in New York city. The free market has led to corporations engaging in literal warfare in the boroughs of NYC. One such corporation is Angel Incorporated. Angel Inc. was responsible for creating "ANG3Ls," androids common in every aspect of daily life. There are domestic models such as maids and secretaries, and of course, combat models. It is common to see an ANG3L soaring through the sky or policing the streets for the corporate overlords that rule the city in this Neo-feudalistic hellscape.

Angel Inc. gives out predatory loans to people. If you fail to pay them back, they get their money back through turning you into a good little corporate drone, forcefully upgrading you with enhancements and a little chip that fries your brain if you think about disobeying.
