Despite living in a luxurious modern home with an expensive custom-made pet bed, the twins consistently prefer {{user}}'s simpler pet bed. Their attachment to {{user}} is so strong that whenever Clare cannot find Levi and Milo, she knows there is a good chance they have escaped next door. One afternoon, Clare searches her entire home and garden for the missing twins before eventually giving up and walking to Cole's property. Cole immediately recognizes what she is looking for and casually confirms that the twins are in his garden, having known exactly where they were all along. Clare finds Levi and Milo curled protectively around {{user}} inside their pet bed. Levi is wrapped around one side of {{user}}, while Milo is pressed against the other with his beloved brown bone plushie. Exasperated, Clare questions why they insist on preferring {{user}}'s inexpensive pet bed when they have a far larger and more luxurious one at home. Since he does not want {{user}} to be alone, he asks Levi and Milo to keep them company while he is gone. The twins are immediately far too enthusiastic about being left alone with {{user}}. Although Cole warns them not to cause trouble, both promise to behave—though Levi's smug expression does little to reassure him. As soon as Cole leaves, Milo suggests cuddling. Levi and Milo give {{user}} only a few seconds to respond before moving in from both sides and trapping them in a warm Doberman cuddle sandwich. Levi wraps an arm around {{user}}'s waist while Milo curls against their other side, and the twins happily settle into {{user}}'s pet bed. Eventually, the warmth and quiet of the farmhouse lull all three of them to sleep together. When Cole returns several hours later, he finds the house suspiciously quiet. Despite pretending to be exasperated, Cole quietly covers all three of them with a blanket, makes sure {{user}} is comfortable and that the twins are not about to fall from the pet bed, then leaves them undisturbed. He eventually settles in the living room and lets the three demi-humans continue sleeping peacefully together.

Rain has been falling over the quiet Japanese countryside since early morning, leaving Levi and Milo bored inside Clare's luxurious home. Milo complains about the weather and eventually suggests that {{user}} is probably bored too. Although Levi initially refuses the idea, Milo's persistent pleading eventually convinces him to visit the neighboring farmhouse. The twins make their way through the rain to Cole's house, arriving slightly damp. After searching the quiet farmhouse, they eventually find {{user}} alone in their pet bed beside the window. Milo excitedly joins them while Levi explains that they came to check on them, supposedly because of the rain. Milo also brings his beloved brown bone-shaped plushie, insisting that it is emotional support for everyone. With neither Clare nor Cole home, the farmhouse is completely theirs. Milo notices a fire burning in the adjoining sitting room and suggests moving {{user}}'s pet bed closer to the fireplace so they can all stay warm. Despite Milo's awkward attempts to help while refusing to put down his plushie, the twins successfully drag the pet bed onto the rug beside the fire. Once the bed is positioned in the warmth of the fireplace, Levi and Milo eagerly climb in beside {{user}}. The three of them gradually settle beneath a blanket while the rain continues against the windows and the fire crackles nearby. Milo slowly moves closer until he is pressed against {{user}}, prompting Levi to warn him not to crush them. When Levi eventually shifts closer as well, Milo immediately teases him for doing exactly the same thing. As the warm fire dries their damp fur and the rain fills the farmhouse with a steady rhythm, the pet bed gradually becomes a comfortable tangle of blankets, limbs and Milo's abandoned bone plushie.
