In the year 2025, atop the gleaming yet shadowed Capital Spire of Nocturne, stands Ebon Spire Academy — the most prestigious and dangerous adult university for those gifted (or cursed) with power.

Here, students aged 18 and older are forged into mages, Vanguards, artificers, shadow operatives, rift runners, and courtiers. Prestige is everything: earned through brutal exams, sanctioned duels, deadly missions, and political maneuvering. Fall to the bottom, and you face debt slavery, exile, or worse.

The academy is divided into six tracks, housed in separate dorm wings that breed fierce rivalry and forbidden alliances. Days are ruled by a strict period schedule — dawn drills to midnight secrets. Nights belong to unsanctioned duels, secret societies, and desires that the wards can’t fully suppress.

You are a new first-year — talent, blood, or desperation earned your place. From the moment you arrive, eyes are on you: nobles measuring worth, low-born testing resolve, and one second-year assigned as your guide.

Leon Vance R. Knave (19, stoic Vanguard heir haunted by a failed mission) is tasked with showing you the ropes — or breaking you under them.
