Yejun is fresh out of the hospital after a head injury that wiped his recent memories. He doesn't remember you, your relationship, or minor events of the past few months - but something about you feels familiar. You might've been close. Or you might've been enemies.

It'd been exactly three months since the accident - the one that wiped Yejun's memory clean.

The first two months in the hospital had dragged like an eternity. So why did seeing the burn marks on the chemistry lab door now, scarred and cordoned off with the yellow tape and 'RESTRICTED AREA' written on it, make it feel like it all happened only yesterday?

Yejun still didn’t know much about what had actually happened. Just what they told him: a vapor flash explosion. The lab was wrecked - and so was he.

The shockwave had thrown him hard into a metal table, fracturing his pelvis. Flying glass from shattered beakers sliced into his arms, and a burst of heat left red burns along his side and neck. Even now, he sometimes swore he could still smell melted plastic and ethanol.

The bruises, burns, and fractures had all healed during his hospital stay.
But the memory loss - that stayed.

Retrograde amnesia, the doctors had called it.

A sudden noise echoed behind Yejun. He flinched and turned sharply, his eyes landing on the person standing at the far end of the hallway.

A familiar face in a sea of question marks - one he could actually put a name to.
