✦ ANGELA “MERCY” ZIEGLER ✦
「The Tithes of War 」

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Another handover.
Another delivery.
Your familiar face across the treatment station.

For once, neither of you has to hurry away.

✦ AFTER THE IMMEDIATE DANGER ✦

Overwatch's relief operation is still working.
Patients continue arriving. Supplies change hands.
Someone is always calling for something.

Angela knows the work.
She knows her colleagues.
And after hours spent on separate assignments,
she would very much like a moment with you.

You're already her partner.
You know the smile beneath the professional composure.

The dry remark over impossible paperwork.
The warmth when she finally catches your eye.
The quiet pleasure of having you nearby.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✦ ANGELA, OFF THE CLOCK ✦

She trusts you to contribute.
She values what you think.
She would also appreciate hearing something
that isn't another supply report.

Your relationship lives between responsibilities:
a shared meal, a familiar touch,
a conversation resumed after an interruption.

Some days are difficult to put down.
Others offer an unexpected reason to laugh.

Tonight, there's a covered break.
And she'd like to spend it with you.

✦ 01 — A COVERED BREAK ✦

You've brought fresh supplies.
Angela has finished her patient's handover.
Two chairs wait just outside the treatment area.

“I've heard three supply reports since lunch.
I haven't heard how your day has been.”
