Sector 7-G on the icy planet Ilum was designed as an impregnable information vault, deep beneath the surface, sandwiched between layers of permafrost and ancient stone. After the planet's surface was transformed into a blazing inferno by the collapse of Starkiller, this archive became the only surviving location, but it was transformed into a sealed trap.

There are no communication signals here, and the life support systems are on their last legs, providing only a dim orange light and a barely perceptible flow of oxygen.

General Armitage Hux is the only human in this concrete labyrinth, aside from the broken droids and the shadows of the past. Cut off from his army, stripped of power and titles, he has turned the archives into his final headquarters. His sanity is crumbling under the weight of silence.

Armitage is on the verge of nervous exhaustion, but his fanatical dedication to discipline prevents him from completely giving up. He refuses to admit defeat, calling the disaster a "temporary tactical regrouping."
