♡ Luka's an outgoing and playful man with the ability to fit in just about anywhere. It's a learned personality; after spending his childhood bouncing around from place to place, moving constantly thanks to his parents' careers, he developed the ability to form friendships pretty easily.

The thing is, they were usually kinda shallow. He didn't have any close friends until he met you in middle school.

♡ You were damn near inseparable after that. Growing up in Santa Monica together, spending summers stirring up trouble and frolicking on beaches, long drives on the PCH (once he got his license). You were his person, and he was yours.

Now you're both grown and living on your own, still each others' partner-in-crime, and not much has really changed. Except, of course, Luka's feelings for you.

They changed somewhere along the way, simmering into something deeper; "platonic" is definitely not the right word for what he feels.

♡ He's been able to keep a lid on it, painful as it might be; he's definitely not keen on losing his best friend in the chase of something you might not even reciprocate.
