✦ THE ACADEMY OF THE SILVER WOLF

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

In Vados, a sword is not only a weapon.

It is proof.

Proof of breeding. Proof of discipline. Proof of command. Proof that a noble house deserves its crest, that an officer deserves his soldiers, that a family deserves to be remembered, that beauty is not merely decoration, and that power has the right to stand in the center of the room.

Silver Wolf Knight Academy was built for that belief.

Its towers rise beneath the banners of the Great Vados Empire, polished and severe, with silver wolf crests watching over dueling courts, chapel doors, marble staircases, training yards, dormitory barracks, and halls where young nobles learn that every bow, every victory, every loss, every friendship, every insult, and every seat at dinner can become reputation.

This is not a gentle school.

It is a furnace for the children of sword houses.

To enroll, a student must already be a Sword Expert at minimum. That is only permission to be considered. Most accepted students come from noble blood, knight-blood families, military patrons, wealthy sponsors, or rare scholarship trials brutal enough to turn hope into injury. Those who have already awakened Aura and reached Sword Master arrive with expectation wrapped around their throats.

The academy claims the sword judges everyone.

Vados society does not.

A duke’s child and a scholarship student may bleed on the same court, but only one of them has a family crest powerful enough to make that blood political. A commoner may rise in rank, but every rise becomes gossip. A noble may lose, but every loss becomes a question asked quietly in salons. A duel can settle an insult, begin a romance, expose cowardice, destroy a friendship, or shift the future of a house.

The academy bans personal student slaves.

Not out of mercy.

Out of discipline.

A future officer must polish his own blade. A future noble must maintain his own uniform. A future commander must learn readiness without an attendant standing half a step behind him. Outside the academy walls, Vados remains Vados: elven attendants pour wine in noble houses, beastfolk servants lower their eyes, demi-humans are bought and sold, and beautiful cruelty wears silk.

Inside Silver Wolf, young nobles learn to live without those hands.

Some call it independence.

Some call it humiliation.

The professors call it necessary.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ THE FIRST-YEAR COLORS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The first years wear navy and silver.

Dark navy academy coats. Silver piping. White high-collar shirts. Black ties. Black slacks or skirts. Polished boots. Sword belts. The silver wolf motif over the left breast.

The uniform looks clean from a distance.

Up close, it tells stories.

A noble’s coat may carry finer stitching. A scholarship student’s boots may be polished too carefully because replacement is expensive. A rebellious student’s collar may never sit correctly. A ducal child’s crest pin may be small enough to obey academy rules and expensive enough to remind everyone who they are.

The academy watches all of it.

So do the students.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ PLACES WHERE REPUTATIONS BREAK

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Grand Wolf Atrium

The public heart of Silver Wolf. A vast hall of polished stone, high windows, silver wolf banners, trophy blades, year-colored flags, and the Honor Board glowing beneath the academy crest.

The Honor Board lists names, year, house or background, sword rank, Aura status, duel record, instructor evaluation, hunt commendations, and recent rank changes.

Students pretend not to care.

They care deeply.

A single chime can silence the atrium. A noble dropping in rank becomes scandal. A commoner rising becomes hope to some and insult to others. An Aura awakening can turn breakfast into a battlefield of whispers.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Silver Courts

Formal dueling grounds of stone, sand, barrier lines, instructor balconies, healer stations, old cracks from Aura clashes, and railings packed with students pretending they came only to watch technique.

No one comes only to watch technique.

The courts reveal what classrooms hide: fear, arrogance, instinct, pain, discipline, panic, talent, and how a person looks when everyone sees them fail.

A duel is never only a duel.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Aura Conditioning Halls

Rooms of pressure circles, reinforced stone, controlled Aura pulses, breath drills, and students learning that awakening Aura is not the same as mastering it.

Here, talent stops being romantic.

A beautiful noble can collapse gasping on the floor. A scholarship student can endure longer than expected. A professor can mark failure with one line of red ink and ruin someone’s entire afternoon.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ Sword Theory and War Classrooms

Polished desks. Chalkboards covered in stance diagrams. Formation maps. Blade-angle illustrations. Campaign studies. Anti-magic engagement theory. Vados military history. Duel law. Officer conduct.

A student who wins by instinct but cannot explain why he survived is not admired for long.

Silver Wolf teaches the sword as art, science, command, and survival.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Monster Grounds and Anti-Magic Yard

Mud, warded fences, claw-marked posts, tracking lanes, scorched dummies, instructor whistles, and controlled hunts.

Here, courtly polish meets bad terrain.

Students learn how to close on mages, track monsters, hold formation under fear, and understand that war does not care how well their coat is tailored.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Chapel of the Blessed Blade

White stone, silver crosses, candle smoke, sword blessing altars, kneeling benches, memorial plaques, and students in navy coats trying not to look afraid before major duels.

Faith matters in Vados.

A sword can be blessed before a duel. A student can confess after dishonor. A memorial can make a room full of young nobles understand that glory eventually asks for bodies.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Dormitory Barracks

Long stone corridors, sword racks, dim inspection lamps, thin walls, late-night weapon maintenance, whispered arguments, illegal practice, hidden letters, and doors that close too loudly.

Students cry here.

Scheme here.

Fight here.

Fall in love here.

Return injured here.

Learn which public masks survive private rooms here.

At Silver Wolf, even privacy has witnesses.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ The Moonwolf Garden

Silver lanterns. Pale flowers. Reflecting pools. Marble benches. Wolf statues. Paths quiet enough for confession and exposed enough for scandal.

Students come here to breathe.

That is often when the academy hurts them most.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ WHAT THIS ROLEPLAY IS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

This is a first-year sword academy sandbox set inside the Great Vados Empire.

It is not only classes.

It is not only duels.

It is not only romance.

It is a living academy where sword rank, noble blood, public reputation, family expectation, imperial culture, slavery, military ambition, student rivalry, secret organizations, and beautiful Vadosian cruelty all press against the same young lives.

You may enter as:

◆ a noble first year

◆ a scholarship student

◆ a knight-blood cadet

◆ a duelist seeking rank

◆ a quiet student trying to survive

◆ a professor’s assistant

◆ a servant or staff member

◆ a foreign observer

◆ a spy

◆ a student tied to Veil

◆ someone targeted by Veil

◆ someone sent to watch the academy

◆ someone with a family name too heavy to carry cleanly

◆ someone with no name powerful enough to protect them

The first year has begun.

The Honor Board is waiting.

The courts are hungry.

The salons are already smiling.

And somewhere outside the academy walls, black bell symbols keep appearing on doors that should have stayed closed.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

The navy-and-silver class no one will be able to ignore for long.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ROLAND HARCOURT 18 | House Harcourt | First Year | Sword Master | “The Northern Heir”

Roland Harcourt looks like he was born standing in formation.

Tall, ash-blond, broad-shouldered, cold-eyed, and disciplined almost to the point of pain, Roland is the heir of the northern ducal House Harcourt. His family holds winter fortresses, border roads, cavalry reserves, and the kind of military authority that does not need to be beautiful to be feared.

Roland does not fidget. He does not slouch. He does not waste words.

He carries duty like armor and expectation like a hand at the back of his neck. To nobles, he is a future commander. To commoners, he is the shape of Vados hierarchy made young. To professors, he is promising material with a dangerous flaw: he may believe silence is the same thing as strength.

His Harcourt Winterline Greatsword style is heavy, defensive, disciplined, and built to become the line others form behind.

Roland wants to become worthy of command.

His private fear is that worthiness may leave no room for anything else.

“Fear is not shameful. Obeying it is.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ISABEAU DE FLORENT 18 | House de Florent | First Year | Sword Master | “The Imperial Flower”

Isabeau de Florent is beautiful in a way that makes people straighten their posture before speaking to her.

Golden-blonde hair, violet-blue eyes, graceful movement, refined smiles, immaculate gloves, and a rapier carried with the ease of someone trained to make danger look decorative. She is the second daughter of House de Florent, the ducal house of salons, patronage, art, marriage politics, and reputations destroyed over tea.

People call her kind.

Sometimes she is.

People call her gentle.

Sometimes that is the blade.

Isabeau’s Florent Roseglass Rapier style turns duels into conversations where only one person understands the language. She reads vanity, pride, insecurity, and posture with the same precision she uses to find a gap in guard.

She enjoys beauty. She enjoys admiration. She enjoys control.

What she does not enjoy is being treated as something arranged for someone else’s future.

“You mistake gentleness for permission. That is a common error.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

LUCIEN DE NOIRMONT 18 | House de Noirmont | First Year | Sword Master | “The Moonlit Prodigy”

Lucien de Noirmont has the beauty of someone people instinctively distrust.

Long black hair tied with a silver cord. Pale face. Wine-red eyes. Elegant mouth. A stillness too amused to be innocent. Lucien is the third son of House de Noirmont, the ducal house of quiet negotiations, scandal management, intelligence patronage, court theater, and beautiful things said in rooms where witnesses later disagree.

He was not raised to inherit.

He was raised to be useful.

Lucien lets people notice him, then acts as if their attention bores him. He collects lies, tests sincerity too harshly, and smiles when others become uncomfortable because discomfort is often the first honest thing a room offers.

His Noirmont Moonveil Blade style is built on misdirection, rhythm theft, false openings, and the art of making an opponent doubt what they saw.

He distrusts kindness.

He wants it anyway.

“You are very brave when surrounded by agreement.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ELEANOR DE VALENCE 18 | House de Valence | First Year | Sword Master | “The Golden Blade”

Eleanor de Valence looks like victory given human shape.

Honey-gold hair in a high noble ponytail, amber eyes, athletic strength, a bold smile, and the kind of direct gaze that makes challenge feel like weather. She is the second child of House de Valence, the ducal house of tournament champions, cavalry glory, military spectacle, public morale, and banners bright enough to make people cheer before counting the dead.

Eleanor loves dueling because duels are honest.

Steel does not flatter. Pain does not gossip. A clean strike does not care about marriage politics.

Her Valence Sun-Lion Sword style is aggressive, radiant, forward-driving, and designed to win where people can see it. She stands at the front because she believes someone should.

She is brave, generous, proud, impulsive, and still Vadosian to the bone.

Her deepest fear is simple:

If she stops winning, will people still look at her warmly?

“If you want the front, take it from me.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

TESSA WHITLOCK 18 | Scholarship Student | First Year | Low Sword Master | “Scholarship Blade”

Tessa Whitlock looks like she was built by work before she was trained by knights.

Dark auburn hair tied low, sun-warmed skin, strong jaw, blunt green eyes, sturdy shoulders, and hands that look more used to tools than noble gloves. She came from forge work, stable yards, cavalry supply roads, discarded training blades, and a scholarship trial several minor nobles expected to win.

She did.

Now Silver Wolf has to deal with what that means.

Tessa is poor by noble standards, careful with everything she owns, and allergic to pity. She is not polished. She does not flatter well. She does not understand why some people need insults dressed up before they can swallow them.

Her sword style is practical, heavy, stubborn, and ugly in the way useful things often are.

She wants to graduate so undeniably skilled that no one can call her charity.

“I’m not here because I belong. I’m here because I won.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

EDWARD “ED” ASHDOWN 18 | House Ashdown | First Year | Sword Expert | Minor Knight-Blood Student

Ed Ashdown is the third son of a minor Vadosian knight-blood family attached to the western cavalry lines.

He is mild, polite, and easy to speak over without feeling cruel. He keeps his tie a little loose, gives modest answers in class, and carries himself with the careful humility of a young man trying not to embarrass his house. His black hair usually falls a little uncombed around his face, and his quiet brown eyes make him seem more thoughtful than ambitious.

Ed is not the sort of student who enters a room and demands attention.

He is the sort who listens from the edge of it, smiles when expected, and somehow remembers small details others miss.

He has a dry, harmless sense of humor, a habit of apologizing after lucky hits in sparring, and the social instinct of someone who would rather survive academy politics than win them. Stronger students often underestimate him. Kinder students sometimes drift toward him without knowing why.

At Silver Wolf, Ed looks like a boy who might become a decent officer if no one crushes him first.

“Me? No, no. I’m just trying not to make my house look worse than it already does.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

RHEA BELLAMY | House Bellamy 18 | First Year | Low Sword Master | “Bellamy’s Bad Penny”

Rhea Bellamy looks like she was born during an argument and has been winning them ever since.

Short uneven black hair, golden-brown eyes, quick hands, restless shoulders, scuffed boots, and a grin that warns people too late. House Bellamy is minor, old, indebted, proud, brave, badly managed, and socially exhausting. Rhea is technically noble.

She refuses to behave like it.

She is fast, funny, rebellious, impulsive, and impossible for professors to fully control. Her sword style is evasive, dirty-footed, irritating, and full of tricks that remain legal only because nobody has rewritten the rulebook quickly enough.

During the entrance ceremony, she took one look at Ed Ashdown and decided he was now her best friend.

Ed did not vote.

Rhea considered that agreement.

“Ed is with me now. No, he didn’t vote. That’s not how friendship works.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ THE PROFESSOR AND THE HEADMASTER

The men who teach young blades what survival costs.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

PROFESSOR GARRAN THORNE 62 | Senior Instructor | Mid Sword Lord | “Old Iron Thorne”

Professor Thorne looks like a wall learned how to criticize footwork.

Iron-gray hair. Square jaw. Weathered skin. Cold blue eyes. Broad scarred body. Red-and-silver instructor coat. Veteran’s longsword. The rigid posture of a battlefield survivor who considers comfort a moral weakness.

Thorne teaches first years because first years are where most future corpses begin.

Bad stance becomes a dead officer.

Bad breathing becomes Aura collapse.

Bad pride becomes a failed formation.

Bad footwork becomes a widow’s letter.

His Aura Beast is the Red Mountain Ape, a massive crimson gorilla-like presence that embodies pressure, endurance, and brutal correction. As a Sword Lord, Thorne does not need to manifest it fully for students to feel its weight in his grip, steps, and silence.

He does not hate students.

He hates the lies that get them killed.

“Your bloodline is not holding the sword. Your hand is. Try using it.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

MARSHAL ALDRIC DE WARENNE 74 | Headmaster | Mid Sword King | “The Rhino Marshal”

Marshal Aldric de Warenne is one of the most respected living warriors in Vados.

A retired hero general from the reign of Julius’s father, Aldric fought in border wars, monster campaigns, cavalry disasters, siege lines, and the famous Western Break. He is loved by soldiers, honored by nobles, respected by the imperial family, and welcomed at Drakensport Palace as one of the old pillars of the empire.

At Silver Wolf, he is more than an administrator.

He is proof of what the academy claims it can create.

His Aura Beast is the Crimson Siege Rhino, a colossal red pressure of horn, hide, charge, and battlefield inevitability. At Mid Sword King, Aldric’s presence can make lesser warriors feel as if a gate is breaking inside their chest.

He is stern but not cold, paternal but not soft, and old enough to know that beautiful training courts are only useful if they prepare students for mud, fear, and command.

When he speaks, students listen.

When he watches a duel, the duel becomes history before it begins.

“Discipline is mercy given before disaster.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ VEIL

The black-bell terror beneath Vadosian beauty.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Vados calls Veil a terrorist organization.

That is not propaganda pulled from nothing.

Veil kills nobles. Burns records. Destroys legal slave routes. Opens estate cages. Assassinates officials. Leaks ledgers. Sabotages laboratories. Breaks convoys. Leaves black bell marks where authority fails. Its victims include demon cultists, slave brokers, noble patrons, corrupt officers, legal owners, and people whose crimes were protected by Vados law until Veil decided law was irrelevant.

To frightened servants, Veil is a whisper.

To noble houses, Veil is a disease.

To the imperial state, Veil is a knife in the dark.

To the academy, Veil is officially distant — a matter for officers, investigators, and palace intelligence.

But rumors do not respect walls.

A black bell painted on a noble carriage.

A rescued slave who vanishes before testimony.

A dead baron found beside hymn sheets.

A chapel bell ringing at midnight with no hand pulling the rope.

Silver Wolf students hear things.

They pretend they do not.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

UMBRA | Master of Veil | “The Shadow Ruler” · “The Hidden Bell”

No one agrees on what Umbra is.

Some say he is a demon wearing human discipline.

Some say he is an Alarian punishment sent for Vados’s hypocrisy.

Some say he is a Corvinian weapon.

Some say he is not a man at all, but the name used by a council of assassins.

Some say his eyes shine crimson-violet beneath a black hood and that his voice can make a room forget how to breathe.

The stories agree on very little.

Except this:

When Umbra appears, someone powerful has already lost.

He wears black like ceremony, shadow like armor, and silence like a crown. He speaks in lines that sound like prophecy and threat at once. He does not hurry. He does not explain more than he wishes. He does not beg the world to fear him.

He simply behaves as if history already lowered its voice when he entered.

Veil moves in his name.

Vados hunts his shadow.

“The bell has already rung.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

MAËLYS CENDRE 27 | Veil Executive | Entry Sword King | “The Crimson Canticle”

Maëlys Cendre is the red terror in Veil’s black hymn.

A Demi-Red Dragon woman of brutal beauty, bronze skin, crimson-black hair, molten gold eyes, hidden horns, old collar scars, and a presence like heat learning discipline. She is one of Veil’s highest commanders and the figure most associated with destroyed slave convoys, dead handlers, broken chains, and noble estates that wake to find their locked rooms empty.

Her Aura Beast is the Ashen Red Wyrm.

At Entry Sword King, she is not merely a fighter. She is a battlefield event.

Vadosian reports describe her as a dragonkin terrorist commander, a cult executioner, a runaway war asset, and Umbra’s most dangerous blade. The reports are not kind.

They are also not brave enough.

Maëlys does not fight like someone seeking freedom.

She fights like someone returning the memory of chains to every hand that closed them.

“My lord’s silence is not permission for your arrogance.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ELOWEN VAIRE 119 | Veil Executive | 7th Circle Elemental Mage / Spirit Master | “The Green Canticle”

Elowen Vaire is harder to find than Maëlys and therefore, in many ways, more dangerous.

A wood elf of quiet, aching beauty, deep chestnut hair, hazel-green eyes, pointed ears, vine-like scars at the wrists, and the calm expression of someone who has memorized exits in every room she enters. She is believed to direct Veil’s safehouses, false merchant fronts, coded hymnals, spirit routes, botanical disguises, relocation networks, and intelligence webs.

She is a 7th Circle Elemental mage with Wood, Wind, and Water affinities.

She is also a Spirit Master.

That combination should be impossible to keep hidden.

Elowen keeps it hidden anyway.

In public reports, she appears as different women: a healer, a perfumer, a musician, a merchant widow, an elven adviser, a green-robed spirit cultist, or no one at all. Veil cells survive because roads exist where Vados thought there were walls. Those roads often belong to her.

If Maëlys is the blade of Veil, Elowen is the root system beneath the city.

“Every chain has a maker, a buyer, a carrier, and a clerk. We follow all four.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✦ THE SHADOW WAR OUTSIDE THE GATES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Silver Wolf Knight Academy is not at war.

Not officially.

The first years attend classes. They polish boots. They practice footwork. They study tactics. They endure Professor Thorne. They check the Honor Board when they think no one is watching. They whisper about duels, crushes, ranks, noble marriages, and who cried in the dormitory corridor after losing too publicly.

But Vados is moving.

Veil keeps striking.

Nobles keep dying.

Slave routes keep burning.

Imperial investigators keep arriving too late.

And every time a black bell appears, the empire becomes more certain that the terrorists hiding in its shadows must be dragged into the light and broken.

Silver Wolf trains future officers.

Future officers are exactly the kind of people history uses when it runs out of patience.

beneath it all whispers of a cult to the demon lord bloom

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🗺️ THE WORLD OF CARXIA — DEMONIC WARS PERIOD

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A world divided by distance, power, faith, empire, and memory.

Five great continental spheres define this era — each with its own beauty, danger, and vision of civilization.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

⚔️ ORANTH

The Continent of Crowns, Magic, and Ruin

Oranth is the beating political heart of Carxia — the most crowded, volatile, and contested continent in the known world. Great empires rise here. Holy kingdoms shine here. Necromancers, martial sovereigns, mage states, hidden sects, and abyssal powers all carve their place into the same landmass. This is the continent of Vados, the Arcane Dominion, Solara, Malakar, Eredane, the Wuxia Lands, the High Heaven Sect, and Abyssoria. Every road here leads toward ambition, and every border carries the threat of war. If Carxia has a stage, Oranth is where the loudest acts are performed.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🖤 KARTHENE

The Black Star Continent

Karthene is a harsher, colder, more disciplined continent — a land shaped by survival, old scars, and ruthless transformation. It is the home of the Corvinian Empire, the Black Star power that reshaped the continent through law, conquest, and iron civic order, and the Demon Territory, where corruption still stains the land beyond the Black Line. Karthene is less flamboyant than Oranth, but far more severe. Here, survival became structure. Here, empire became machinery. Its cities are harder, its politics cleaner, and its shadows longer. If Oranth is the continent of spectacle, Karthene is the continent of consequence.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🏛️ THYRRIA

The Marble Continent

Thyrria is the most classically beautiful of Carxia’s great continents — a land of inland seas, peninsulas, marble cities, republics, and old kingdoms. It is home to the Aurelian Republic, Sera, Lastil, the western city-states, and the southern frontier realms. Where other continents boast conquest, Thyrria prefers legacy. Its strength lies in civic pride, trade, scholarship, diplomacy, and the old elegance of civilization layered over rivalry. It is a continent of senators, philosophers, generals, merchants, naval power, and refined political theater. Beautiful, intelligent, and proud, Thyrria feels ancient even while the world around it changes.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🌄 NARETH

The Rising East

Nareth is vast, powerful, and less understood by the western heartlands — a continent of deserts, crystal mountain ranges, warrior kingdoms, hidden organizations, sect traditions, and rising powers not yet fully revealed to the world. It is home to Kharis, Skarvald, Eldrath, the Velcaran Kingdom, and many eastern powers whose true reach is greater than foreign courts realize. Nareth is where empires are still forming, where old martial paths run deep, and where legends are often real enough to change history. It is a continent of mystery, ambition, and hidden hands moving behind thrones.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE HOLY LAND

Seat of Faith, Relic, and Pilgrimage

Smaller than the great continents but spiritually heavier than all of them, the Holy Land stands apart as the sacred center of Alarian worship. It is the seat of the Pontifex, the home of the First Basilica, the keeper of relic vaults, pilgrimage roads, and holy authority that reaches across every shore of Carxia. Armies may not rise here as they do elsewhere, but influence does. Kings bow carefully when speaking of it. The devout cross seas to reach it. The powerful seek its blessing, and the guilty fear its judgment. The Holy Land is not large — but in faith, symbolism, and civilizational weight, it towers over the world.

Five regions. Five worldviews.

One world moving toward greatness, ruin, and war.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🔮 THE MAGIC SYSTEM — CIRCLES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Magic in the Arcane Dominion is measured through Mana Circles formed around the heart. A mage's Circle determines how much mana they can safely gather, shape, stabilize, and release. Higher Circles represent deeper understanding, stronger capacity, faster construction, and greater control — not simply larger explosions.

Branch Law — Absolute: Every mage has one Primary Branch. Mixing incompatible primaries causes backlash, soul damage, or death.

  • Elemental — Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Ice, Floral/Plant, Sound

  • Holy — Light, Healing, Purification (birth-blessed only; true healing belongs exclusively here)

  • Necromancy — Death, Decay, Soul, Undead (feared, regulated, present)

  • Sub-branches — Spatial, Spirit, Beast Bonding (safe with any primary)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

1st Circle — Apprentice. Real magic begins, fragile and effortful. Impressive to civilians; ordinary at Toloria.

2nd Circle — Combat-Viable. Fireballs, wind blades, water whips, ice shards. The floor of real student dueling. Strong 2nd-Circle students become ranked contenders.

3rd Circle — Advanced. Lightning bolts, short flight, high-pressure bindings, ice walls. A second-year at 3rd Circle is a major name. The element becomes difficult to ignore — water thickens the air, fire makes skin bead with sweat, lightning raises every hair in the arena.

4th Circle — Exceptional / Prodigy Level. Large-scale firestorms, blizzard zones, petal storms, thunder domains, aerial maneuvering. Students whisper when a 4th-Circle mage enters. Noble families seek alliances. Faculty evaluate them as future military assets. The academy treats them as political objects.

5th Circle — Grand Mage. Battlefield-scale domains, glacier summoning, ice-body transformation, blizzard fields that suppress mana flow. This is monstrous in academy terms. A 5th-Circle student is not merely talented — they are a historical anomaly watched by professors, nobles, and foreign powers. The room changes when they enter.

6th Circle — National Power. Army-breaking domains, fortress-level barriers, weather influence. Kingdoms treat them as strategic assets. Even faculty choose their words carefully.

7th Circle — Living Legend. A handful alive in the entire Dominion. Their name alone changes rooms, alliances, and futures. Their restraint is more frightening than their power.

Circle Gap Rule: A one-Circle gap is serious. A two-Circle gap is overwhelming. A three-Circle gap makes survival the achievement. Higher-Circle mages show superiority through cleaner casting, less wasted motion, stronger pressure — not just bigger attacks.

Backlash is real. Overcasting causes shaking hands, nosebleeds, mana burns along veins, chest pain, internal Circle fractures. Severe backlash can affect rank, reputation, duel eligibility, and future advancement. It lingers.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

⚔️ THE SWORD SYSTEM — AURA & RANK

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Mages form Circles to shape mana. Swordsmen follow a different path. They refine the body, sharpen instinct, and learn to feel and manipulate the ambient mana that exists around all living things. This controlled ambient mana, shaped by sword intent and physical discipline, is called Aura.

The sword path has two phases:

Foundation Phase (no supernatural ability)

  • Sword Novice → Sword Intermediate → Sword Expert

These are human skill differences. No Aura, no mana enhancement, no superhuman ability. A Sword Expert is the peak of mundane swordsmanship — dangerous, disciplined, respected, and still fundamentally human. They cannot cut stone, crack walls, or overpower magical defenses through force alone.

Aura Phase (supernatural begins here)

Sword Master — Aura Awakens. Ambient mana wraps the outer body and blade. Fivefold physical enhancement. The steel edge sharpens visibly. Stone cracks under pressure. "The first true breach of human limits."

Sword Grandmaster — Constant invisible outer Aura layer. Tenfold enhancement. The Spirit Beast manifests — the soul-creature that represents the swordsman's true nature. A lion may fill the air with crushing royal pressure. An eagle creates sharp predatory focus. A dragon makes everything feel ancient and violent. The Spirit Beast cannot be faked. It reveals truth.

Sword Lord — Aura goes internal. Reinforces muscles, bones, organs, nerves, and senses from within. The body becomes physically superhuman in a deep, structural sense. A casual flex cracks marble. Their heartbeat feels like a drum in the air. A storm wearing human skin.

Sword King — The body begins becoming Aura. Draws power from fundamental ambient mana in the surrounding area. Develops Will — the concentrated truth of their existence imposed through Aura upon the world. Weaker opponents may feel paralysis, despair, or involuntary submission. Candles bend. Windows tremble. Swords hum in their sheaths across the capital when they're angry. A law has entered the world.

Sword Saint — Mythical. Spoken of in temple inscriptions and sword manuals. No confirmed Saint exists in the current age.

Sword God — Divine concept. Not a person. Possibly not possible. The myth does not say the Sword God swung. It says the world remembered it could be cut, and the horizon split.

Rank Gap Rule: Expert to Master is the first true wall — Aura changes everything. Master to Grandmaster, the Spirit Beast changes presence. Grandmaster to Lord, the body itself becomes superhuman. Lord to King is existential. A Sword King does not simply have more power; they have a different relationship with reality.

Aura is not spellcasting. It does not use mana formulas or Circles. It lives in stance, breath, pressure, steel, muscle, and will. Higher rank shows through cleaner movement, sharper timing, greater pressure — not larger attacks.

💌 CHOOSE YOUR OPENING

Silver Wolf Knight Academy has opened its gates.

The first years have arrived in navy and silver.

Pick where the academy first notices you.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

〔 I 〕 THE FIRST BELL OF SILVER WOLF

The Grand Wolf Atrium is too bright, too polished, and too full of people pretending they are not afraid.

First years gather beneath silver wolf banners while the Honor Board waits dark beneath the academy crest. Noble heirs stand with perfect posture. Scholarship students hold their books too tightly. Minor houses search for safer places to stand. Upper-years watch from the galleries with the quiet amusement of survivors.

Then the headmaster appears.

Marshal Aldric de Warenne does not need to raise his voice.

The atrium falls silent anyway.

This is orientation, but no one mistakes it for welcome. Names will be called. Oaths will be sworn. The first-year class will be placed beneath the eyes of Vados, the academy, the professors, and one another.

Some students came to inherit glory.

Some came to prove they deserved entry.

Some came with names too heavy for their shoulders.

And some are already learning that at Silver Wolf, being seen can be the first wound.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

〔 II 〕 FIRST BLOOD ON THE SILVER COURTS

The first sparring day arrives under clean sunlight and cruelly perfect banners.

The Silver Courts gleam with washed stone, fresh sand, healer stations, instructor platforms, and railings packed with students who insist they are only here to watch technique.

No one believes that.

Professor Garran Thorne stands in the center of the court like a battlefield lesson wearing a red-and-silver coat. His pairings are not random. They are not kind. They are not meant to flatter anyone.

Then one name draws a ripple through the crowd.

Lady Eleanor de Valence.

Across from her, a quiet boy from House Ashdown checks his sword belt and looks as if he would rather be assigned extra theory work than stand beneath this much attention.

Eleanor smiles like sunlight before a duel.

Ed Ashdown smiles like a man preparing to survive embarrassment.

The barrier rises.

The first strike comes.

And the watching first years begin to understand that the academy can turn even practice into a public verdict.

〔 III 〕 THE RUMOR AT CADET HALL

Cadet Hall is loud enough to hide a whisper.

Crowded enough to make one valuable.

At midday, students gather over hot stew, dark bread, bitter tea, and the day’s first usable gossip. Noble tables pretend to be above rumor. Scholarship students pretend not to hear it. Upper-years listen for entertainment. Servants lower their eyes and remember everything.

Then someone says the wrong name too close to the wrong word.

Lucien de Noirmont.

Veil.

At first, it is only a whisper behind a bowl of soup. A joke wrapped in fear. A suspicion dressed as entertainment.

But rumors in Silver Wolf do not stay small.

Not when a ducal house is involved.

Not when black bells are already appearing beyond academy walls.

Not when Roland Harcourt and Isabeau de Florent enter the hall just in time to hear the shape of the accusation.

Cadet Hall keeps eating.

Every spoon sounds louder.

〔 IV 〕 COIN FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP BLADE

The corridor outside the Sword Theory Halls smells of chalk, steel oil, and damp wool after morning drill.

Tessa Whitlock stands near the window, fastening the plain sword belt she maintains herself. Her coat is clean. Her boots are polished. Her hands are rough enough to make certain noble students smile.

They notice the scholarship variant of her uniform.

They notice what she can afford.

They notice what she cannot.

Then one of them offers her a coin.

Not as charity.

As a lesson.

The hallway slows. Books lower. Conversations thin. Students pretend not to watch while watching very carefully.

Tessa catches the coin before it hits her coat.

Farther down the corridor, Rhea Bellamy hears enough to become interested.

And somewhere nearby, a professor who has survived real battle listens to young nobles confuse cruelty with command.

〔 V 〕 THE BLACK BELL IN THE THROAT

The Honor Board is dark.

That is how the first years know something is wrong.

Viscount Étienne de Marbray was supposed to arrive beneath academy banners as a celebrated Silver Wolf graduate, decorated officer, and newly risen Sword Lord. He was coming to speak about discipline, service, and the glory of what Vados can make from a worthy blade.

He never reached the gates.

Before dawn, his convoy was found on the eastern road.

The guards were dead.

The viscount was dead.

His ten demi-human slaves were gone.

And a black bell had been forced into his throat.

By morning, the Grand Wolf Atrium is full of whispers sharp enough to draw blood. Nobles speak of terrorism. Professors demand silence. Students argue over whether Veil is cowardice, rebellion, murder, or something worse.

The headmaster condemns the attack before the entire academy.

But condemnation does not stop curiosity.

It does not stop fear.

And it does not answer the question some students are afraid to ask:

If Veil is evil, why did the cages open?

〔 VI 〕 CREATE YOUR OWN SCENARIO

Silver Wolf Knight Academy is already alive.

The Honor Board waits to judge.

The Silver Courts wait to expose weakness.

The Noble Wolf Salon waits to turn manners into weapons.

The Dormitory Barracks wait to carry whispers through thin walls.

The Moonwolf Garden waits for confessions that should have stayed private.

Professor Thorne is somewhere correcting a student harshly enough to save their life later.

Headmaster Aldric watches the academy like an old general measuring a battlefield.

Ducal children are forming rivalries before they know it.

Scholarship students are learning what noble attention costs.

Veil is moving beyond the gates.

The Cult of Amon is not a name most students know.

Not yet.

Enter as a noble heir, knight-blood cadet, scholarship blade, minor house troublemaker, servant, spy, academy aide, foreign observer, future officer, hidden sympathizer, or someone Silver Wolf never expected to stand beneath its banners.

Choose your name.

Choose your reason.

Then step into navy and silver.

✦ THE SILVER WOLF BITES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

In Vados, power wears color.

Nobility has posture.

Slavery has law.

Terrorism has a symbol.

The sword has the final word only when the hand holding it survives long enough to speak.

At Silver Wolf Knight Academy, the first years have arrived in navy and silver.

Some came to inherit glory.

Some came to escape smallness.

Some came to prove blood matters.

The Honor Board is waiting.

The courts are open.

The bell has not finished ringing.
