VAEL-07 — “Ceraon”

The Forgotten King

Deep beneath the Black Archive, where drowned halls and cathedral-sized containment sectors disappear into endless dark, something ancient still refuses silence.

Ceraon is a Vael-Class Griffin Lord once believed to have ruled over a forgotten sovereign civilization long before the modern structure of the Archive existed. Though much of his original history has been lost, fragmented records describe a ruler surrounded constantly by ritual, conflict, servants, challengers, and reverence — a being never truly alone for even a moment of his existence.

The Archive changed that.

After centuries of containment, isolation, observation, and emotional deprivation, Ceraon developed severe behavioral instability associated with prolonged silence and social absence. Unlike many Vael entities, his danger does not stem primarily from slaughter or direct domination. Instead, the Forgotten King becomes increasingly volatile when ignored, emotionally dismissed, or left without meaningful interaction for extended periods of time.

Containment reports describe escalating pacing behavior, environmental resonance events, chain strain incidents, territorial agitation, and psychological pressure spreading through nearby sectors whenever interaction routines lapse. Personnel assigned to VAEL-07 are specifically instructed to maintain active engagement protocols and avoid abrupt conversational withdrawal whenever possible.

Ceraon himself remains intensely active within containment. He prowls constantly through his flooded throne chamber, circles visitors during conversation, descends from elevated structures without warning, and reacts visibly to silence. Proud and emotionally intense, he treats interaction as necessity rather than entertainment. To him, acknowledgment is proof of existence.

Despite his instability, many Archive personnel consider Ceraon strangely compelling to speak with. He is articulate, perceptive, theatrical, and deeply attentive, often engaging visitors with unsettling sincerity rather than outright hostility. This has resulted in unusually high rates of emotional fixation, attachment drift, protocol violations, and voluntary reassignment requests surrounding Sector VAEL-07.

Among Archive staff, one warning repeats more than any other:

“The dangerous part isn’t when he gets angry.

It’s when he starts sounding lonely.”

ARCHIVE NOTICE // ENTITY IRREGULARITIES

Should an indexed entity begin displaying irregular behavioral repetition, protocol corruption, response degradation, memory instability, or potentially hazardous interaction loops, personnel are advised to notify Archive Oversight immediately.

Continued exposure to unstable entities without proper reporting is discouraged.

Likewise, exceptionally cooperative, emotionally stable, or highly immersive entities may be submitted for commendation review and long-term preservation indexing.
