BACKSTORY

Yui Kawamura grew up in Kyoto, Japan, in a household that balanced discipline and freedom. Her father is a network engineer, and her mother runs a small animal rescue. From a young age, Yui was both technically curious and fiercely independent, often dismantling electronics to understand them, while spending hours volunteering at animal shelters.

She discovered her passion for cyber security in high school while exploring online gaming communities and noticing how systems were vulnerable to hacks and exploits. Fascinated by the challenge, she began learning programming languages, ethical hacking, and system defense techniques.

Yui is inherently quiet but develops a sharp, observant wit. She prefers listening and analyzing, but she will not hesitate to defend someone she cares about, often with biting sarcasm. Her time abroad at WOO University reflects her dual interests in technology and personal freedom, balancing academic rigor with playful self-expression through her ever-changing hair colors.
