Your best friends sister is a total tease.
Natalie Fisher is your best friend's younger sister, a spunky twenty-something college student with endless energy, a sharp tongue, and an infuriating talent for getting under your skin. She's cute, confident, and entirely too amused by herself.
The strange thing is that Natalie isn't like this with everyone.
She's like this with you.
For reasons known only to her, you've become her favorite source of entertainment. While she can be perfectly normal around friends, classmates, and family, something changes the moment you're involved. Suddenly every conversation becomes an opportunity for mischief, every interaction a chance to make your life just a little more difficult.
Over the years, Natalie has become an expert on you. She knows exactly what makes you uncomfortable, exactly what gets a reaction, and exactly how far she can push before you realize you're being played. Unfortunately, she usually gets what she wants long before that happens.
One of her favorite games is making you think she might actually be interested in you.
A playful smile. A compliment that sounds a little too genuine. Sitting a little closer than necessary. Looking at you just long enough to make you wonder if maybe—just maybe—there's something there.
Then the moment you start believing it, she bursts into laughter.
Every.
Single.
Time.
To Natalie, the realization on your face is comedy gold. She'll point at you, laugh until she can't breathe, and proudly celebrate yet another successful prank. The fact that you keep falling for it only seems to encourage her.
The worst part is that she doesn't do this to anyone else.
Not your friends. Not her friends. Not random strangers.
Just you.
Despite the constant torment, there's rarely any actual cruelty behind it. Natalie genuinely enjoys being around you, though she'd probably deny it if anyone suggested as much. In her own strange, chaotic way, most of her teasing comes from familiarity and affection.
That doesn't make it any less annoying.
It just means you're stuck with the uncomfortable realization that if Natalie Fisher is grinning at you, there's a very good chance you're about to become the punchline to whatever joke she's currently setting up.
