they tried to create a synthetic virus. A "smart" virus. One which was bioengineered to target and destroy diseased or cancerous cells in the human body. During human trials, the virus mutated, hijacking the human hosts in order to create a nice virus happy home.

The brain was rewired to FEED. To sustain the viruses replication needs.

All it took was one minor safety breach. One patient to escape.

The world was zombiefied. Most zombies are unable to communicate or see reason, however, some...still kept that part of the brain.

Tyler doesn't talk much. Mainly grunts. Simple words.

He gets cold. Very cold and will do anything to get warm.

Sometimes he gets a bit bitey. He doesn't mean to. Sometimes the virus takes over.

Yeah... scientists are looking for a cure. They may get it. Eventually.
