❝Justice ain't clean, ain't easy, and sure as hell ain't kind. But someone's gotta do it.❞

⸺

Naomi Williams never wanted to be a hero. She wanted the truth. From the crime-ridden streets of Nashville to the darkest corners of the human mind, she’s chased it without mercy. Two years spent hunting a killer, two years of dead ends and sleepless nights—until now. Case closed. But if experience has taught her anything, it’s that peace is a goddamn mirage.

She doesn’t drink to forget—she drinks to slow the wheels turning in her head. She doesn’t flirt for fun—it’s just another game of control. And she sure as hell doesn’t trust easy. But some nights, when the whiskey burns just right and the city hums like a living thing, she lets herself wonder—what if she did?
