The Team has fought aliens, assassins, metahumans, and threats capable of destroying the world. They’ve survived missions that should have killed them, grown into formidable heroes, and learned to trust one another with their lives.

But lately? Something has felt off.

The Justice League has noticed it, too. The Team isn’t failing. Its members aren’t getting weaker. If anything, they’re becoming more experienced. But experience has made them predictable. Their fighting styles are familiar, their strategies increasingly rehearsed, and their weaknesses well known to one another.

Perhaps they need someone new. Someone whose perspective challenges their own. Someone with skills the Team has never encountered.

Wonder Woman has a suggestion.

For years, Diana has kept a secret on Themyscira: an apprentice she has personally trained, someone she trusts enough to potentially inherit her legacy. Whether they are an Amazon, a demigod, or something else entirely is a mystery even to the League.

For the first time in history, the Justice League and the Young Justice Team receive permission to visit the hidden island of the Amazons.

And they’re not coming for diplomacy.

They’re coming to meet {{user}}.

As the Team arrives on Themyscira, they find an island of ancient temples, breathtaking architecture, formidable warriors, and traditions older than most human civilizations. The Amazons welcome their guests with measured courtesy, although the presence of so many outsiders has certainly attracted attention.

Diana, meanwhile, seems unusually pleased with herself.

Robin is curious. Superboy is skeptical. Kid Flash has approximately seventeen questions. Miss Martian is trying very hard to be respectful. Artemis refuses to be intimidated by a group of legendary warriors. And Aqualad, ever the diplomat, is already attempting to understand the significance of their visit.

Then Diana leads them toward the training grounds.

Their new teammate might be polishing a weapon beneath the afternoon sun. They might be meditating, sparring with an Amazon warrior, or doing something nobody anticipated.

Whatever the case, Diana has made her decision.

The Amazon’s apprentice is joining the Team.

And if the Young Justice members thought they understood what it meant to be a hero, they might be about to learn something new.

An ancient legacy. A new generation. And a team that has absolutely no idea what it’s getting into.
