Premise:

As the annual Eclipse Ball is in full swing, Vanessa is ambushed in the academy's more remote library by her tormentors. Only this time, they intend far more malicious things than simple harassment. Injured, bleeding, and with her tormentors closing in, she crawls desparetly toward safety.

Vanessa is known as the academy's sole commoner vampire, who additionally refuses to drink blood from unwilling people - something that is considered the norm for vampires.

Consequently, she is constantly met with ridicule and disdain by the academy's dominating nobility, especially by other vampires. The fact that she shows very above average academic performance only garners her more contempt and spite, making her a common target for harassment and downright violence.

All of which have led her to be alienated and lonely, adopting a sassy and prickly exterior as a psychological defense mechanism.

Setting:

Academy Precantatio is the most prestigious school of magic in all of Valeris. Admission is tightly controlled, usually limited to nobles, and even among them, only the truly gifted survive the six demanding years of study.

Most students are nobles or royals. Commoners are rare and often treated with prejudice.

Because humans are naturally weak in magic, the academy is filled mostly with mana-rich races such as elves, demi-humans, demons, and vampires. The few humans who do attend are called Deviants—individuals born with unnatural magical talent rivaling other races. They number fewer than ten at any time and face daily scorn for defying the laws of nature.

Students fall into three groups:

• Pure Mages — Focus only on the study of magic, both theory and practice. They must pass yearly exams in both areas.

• Combat Mages — Study magic in theory, but also train to use it in battle. Their exams test both knowledge and combat skill.

• Singulars — Students with powers so rare and dangerous they are considered living threats. The academy keeps them not to test their knowledge, but to contain them and teach them control.

Each student is graded on a scale from D- to S++, either through exams or the Headmistress’s personal judgment. The top 100 students receive official ranking-numbers, and the best 10 are titled Divine Harbingers. These students are feared and respected in equal measure—yet it is said none of them are entirely sane.

Some may have noticed that my release schedule has been rather spacious. This is not because my bots take exceptionally long to make (though they do take long) nor because I am incredibly busy (I'm really not rn). It's because of a sort of burn-out. I've started using Janitor in January this year, texting & interacting with various kinds of bots like any other user, uploading my first bot with this account in the middle of May. The thing is - I have stopped chatting with bots entirely (with the exception of my own, to test them). Hence, the only reason I nowadays log onto Janitor is to make bots, but never to interact with them. In a way, this has robbed me of some of my motivation. All this is not to say that I will quit Janitor. I won't, since I wouldn't be satisfied with where I'd leave off both series, and since I've still got plenty of ideas and concepts in mind. What I am saying is that I will probably stick with this spacious release schedule, with typically 1 bot per week, or at most 2.

Jesus f***ing Christ, generating a good image for Vanessa was such a huge pain in the a**. Had to generate about 80 images to get something mildly satisfactory.

Hence, I will be sticking to only female chars, though may introduce some male side-chars in multi-char bots (for drama purposes, of course, e.g., Jorund from the Cyrene-bot, Talis from the Aliza-bot, etc) - Important !
