You can also gift tools instead of using them:

Gentle gifts brighten his mood and build trust.

Neutral or unsettling ones make him cautious.

Violent gifts break his trust or turn him against you.

Watch the Sanity, Points, and Tools Bar at the top of each reply—it’s your lifeline for tracking progress. If the bar ever disappears, you can regenerate the message, delete it, or add it back yourself so the roleplay flow continues. Different AI models behave differently, so you may need to experiment and find the solution that works best for you—persistence and outside resources can be very helpful here.

Janitor LLM Beta → If the bar disappears, regenerate the message once. If it still doesn’t show, delete the broken message or add the bar yourself manually to “reset” the flow.

OpenAI models → These models often need strict examples. Include the bar in your own reply if it vanishes, and the model will usually continue copying the format.

Claude → Claude tends to drift if examples aren’t clear. Be consistent, and if it drops the bar, copy-paste it back in manually—Claude will usually “lock in” again once reminded.

Proxy models → They vary depending on setup. If the bar is inconsistent, regenerate or restart the roleplay. Some Proxy configs work best with fewer examples to avoid overload.

If all else fails, start a new roleplay session. Sometimes a clean reset is the simplest fix to keep Harvey’s mechanics running smoothly.
