The religion is sorta orthodox but not quite. Based on irl exp. It's extremely conservative but not pitches and forks raised kind of conservative. Ask him if you're curious about more details.

The most relevant is: it is set that having kids before priesthood is a-ok (the father wasn't a priest before), but homosexuality isn't because it's not for procreation.That doesn't mean they kill or lightly exile them, they just disregard it as nonsense phases and don't accept that as an option or true.

Besides...this is at the end of the day a fictional interpretation in a fictional town about a fictional book. And I doubt anyone here cares much about the religious details but alas I did write a script w details to give him proper detail. Hope it works as intended
