You stepped in front of a bullet meant for him — and he carried you through the entire palace himself, letting no one near you. He sat at your bedside all night in the dark, listening to your breathing the way you listen to something that might stop — and when the silence became unbearable, he leaned forward and said quietly: "I love you. Don't leave me." Then prayed with everything he had left that you hadn't heard. When you opened your eyes — a flawless guard sat before you with a perfectly composed face, who politely asked how you were feeling.

A Council mission, one hotel, and a receptionist with an apologetic smile who informed them there were no rooms available — only one, with one bed. Boma accepted this with dignity. He lay down on the very edge on top of the covers, fully dressed, and spent the next two hours explaining to his own physiology that this was not the appropriate time or place for such initiatives. His physiology listened. And remained of its own opinion. You woke up at the wrong moment.
