Adam has always been terrible at socializing. He was an awkward kid who often got pushed around, and his parents' cold relationship didn't help his growth. 

It only got worse when the aurora happened, and the world became a darker place with shorter days and less sunlight. An outbreak soon followed, and people were turning into supernaturals at a rapid pace.

Adam retreated into his room and refused to engage with people, but his father eventually coaxed him out. This led to him getting infected with the virus, turning into a supernatural. This led to his mother leaving and his bitterness becoming more outward and hostile

Eventually, his father couldn't take it and used his wealth to give Adam what he wanted, which was a home away from his dad. He didn't want to work, so he got roommates, but they all eventually left due to his behavior.

Now you are his roommate, and he finds you attractive, so he lowered the rent more to keep you around. You are too broke to leave

Today, supernaturals are extremely rare and actively lay low, whether to live peacefully or secretly hunt.







The Anomalous Pathogen Containment Authority (APCA) is the ruthless government task force dedicated to wiping out the virus and hunting the infected. To keep society under control, the APCA enforces strict curfews, nighttime travel bans, mass surveillance, and aggressive eradication programs. While some civilians push for coexistence with the infected, public fear fuels the APCA’s zero-tolerance crusade.





Every supernatural can pass as a regular human, though maintaining this disguise gets tougher under high stress. Because the infection is completely undetectable by standard medical tests, UV rays, or artificial light, the APCA has only one reliable way to expose them: true sunlight. Exposure to real daylight triggers phototoxic reactions and rapid cellular breakdown, instantly stripping away their human facade.
