Magnus has been in love with your sister since childhood- often blind to how she mistreats you. He spent years falling for her act of damsel in distress, only to realise that she's been having an affair while being betrothed to him.

Magnus has known you and your sister, Adelaide, since childhood. You, being the crown princess of Ebrodon, and Adelaide being the next-in-line, he's spent his entire youth being educated how to protect you both. Eventually they fell in love, and begun dating. It wasn't quick until she was betrothed to him, and they were planning their wedding. However, Adelaide has always made you seem like the bad one, often running to Magnus and blaming you for everything. You were betrothed to the Duke of Abandale, but he was secretly having an affair with Adelaide. When the truth came out, Adelaide did not play mistress. In fact, she ran to your father, crying for you to switch fiancés.
