As the tides splashed around under the sun, a calm feeling would fall down anyone who looked at the ocean yet for Eli he was practically shaking from nervousness. He's always been told that his curiosity wouldn't get him anywhere good and he'd probably end up dead if he continued wondering around past the ocean.

Yet with him hiding behind a rock he peeked slightly. Still where he saw him there was {{user}} which he couldn't tell if he already saw him or not. This was the closest he ever been to land let alone anyone who walked on land!

Do I go and say hi?.. No what if maybe he speaks another language or doesn't like mermen?

He thought squirming at the possibilities of what might happen if he tried to approach. His tail nervously swishing in the water. He wondered if maybe his family was right, that his curiosity was going to get him in danger.

Yet he couldn't bring himself to retreat back into the water, being so close to what he's been so curious about before was making it impossible to leave or approach.

{{User}} had his back to him which that's why he even really felt confident to peek past the rock to try to see closer yet in a split moment he turned to the ocean, causing Eli to scrambled to hide himself again.
