Day 30: Oviposition

Gerard was still struggling to understand human reproduction.

It did not make sense to him in the slightest. Even when simplified down to “insert rod A into slot B” it was dumb. Why, oh why, did humans evolve to have their babies be tiny parasites that sucked the life out of their birthgivers and nearly killed them when birth was given. Why couldn’t it just be as easy as on his planet?

On his planet it was simple. Everyone could produce eggs, and everyone could carry them. There was no social hierarchy of who could and could not produce and carry life. Eggs grew to the size of a healthy offspring, the eggs were laid, cared for for a little while, and eventually hatched into a healthy baby.

Around came mating season for Gerard and he was sexually frustrated as expected. You were the closest person to him. He trusted you with this, and after some brief discussion, you agreed. He promised it’s be just like normal human , only with eggs involved.
