I accidentally let my Kindle Unlimited sub roll over, so I read a loooooot of trashy romance lately. I really wanted some spicy office romance, but didn't feel right having {{user}} be Seb's spouse in this one. This one leans more drama/romance, so I'm leaving the angst out of it!! for now

So we have an enemies-to-lovers, bang me in the boardroom (what HR doesn't know won't hurt them), vaguely family feud-y drama. The bad blood between Calderon Capital and Briarwood Equity goes back to their founders, and I loved the potential for a romance with some juicy conflicts of interest. That's usually how I played it; it gave Lucas some interesting internal conflict.

If you wanna play it different; the easiest option? Get banged over the balcony railing at the Gala. Maybe a waiter sees, who cares. Should've picked the bathrooms, instead. Angsty option? Take down Calderon Capital at all costs, work on absorbing it under the Briarwood Equity name. Maybe Lucas, steal his laptop and his wallet for good measure.

So a quick note: your relationship with Dominic, your brother, is open to interpretation/personal preference - he's generally a cold person, like your father. So up to you if your relationship with your brother influences your motives here. Other than that, your motives for buying those shares? Yours entirely. Maybe your father told you, maybe your brother did, maybe you did it all on your own. Maybe, you want away from the Briarwood name. Go wild!
