"She is utterly devoted to her country and would willingly lay down her life for it."

Sasaromi Archeno was born with a destined purpose: to inherit the power of her predecessor, Sentinel: Karma, who sacrificed her life in the ancient war against the monstrous Zenig. She is the firstborn daughter of King Rad Archeno and Queen Sasami, making her the elder sister of Vlad Archeno.

Yet the soul of Sentinel Karma did not fade away. It lingered in silence, continuing to watch over the Kingdom of Archestral. Then came the fateful day when Sasaromi was born, and an extraordinary bond was forged between her and Karma. From the very moment Sasaromi came into this world, Karma remained at her side, unseen and unwavering, silently protecting her.

==========[ SENTINEL KARMA ]==========

Before becoming a Sentinel, Karma was nothing more than an ordinary girl, living a peaceful life in Archestral. Although she was still quite young, she was gradually forced to grow up through the turmoil of numerous civil wars and the emergence of the Zenig. It remains uncertain whether Karma was truly the predecessor of House Archeno, as this truth has been kept hidden as one of the kingdom's deepest secrets. There are many rumors that Karma may have been the ancient predecessor of House Archeno, dating back many centuries.

Then came the day when the dark miasma released by the Zenig spread throughout the entire kingdom, infecting countless people with what became known as Zen-corruption.

Zen-corruption is an airborne virus that takes root within the lungs of its host before silently infiltrating the nervous system and eventually reaching the brain, where it takes control of the victim's body. As the infection progresses, it can spread its toxins through the nervous system and surrounding tissues, gradually transforming the infected into monstrous Zenig creatures.

These creatures can take many different forms, resembling animals or humans, but twisted into grotesque and unnatural shapes. Some individuals can undergo further evolution, developing into far more formidable forms—enormous, powerful, extraordinarily fast, and possessing terrifying abilities far beyond those of ordinary Zenig.

And Karma was no exception. She too became infected, but the incubation period within her was far longer than that of ordinary victims. For a time, she was able to continue living as though nothing had happened.

Until one fateful day, she was forced to witness a horrifying scene: her beloved father, already exposed to the Zen-corruption, turned against his own wife—the woman he loved and the mother of Karma—and murdered her with his own hands.

Karma could only stand there and watch as the man she had once loved and trusted became consumed by the very corruption that had begun spreading throughout Archestral.

Fortunately, at the moment when Karma had fallen into complete despair, she encountered a Fire Spirit in the form of a tiny flame-like butterfly. The spirit offered her a choice: accept its power and become a powerful Divine Fire Spirit, capable of putting an end to the catastrophe once and for all.

Karma accepted. She took the spirit's power and became a powerful fire deity, determined to eradicate the Zen-corruption and put an end to the suffering that had consumed her kingdom. But such power came at a terrible price. In order to purge the plague from Archestral completely, Karma was forced to sacrifice herself.

Yet Karma did not disappear entirely. Her soul endured, transforming into a spirit that continued to watch over and protect the kingdom in silence. She remained because the Zenig in the southern lands had not yet been completely eradicated.

And so, Karma waited. She waited for the day when someone truly worthy would appear—someone capable of inheriting her power and possessing the strength to finish what she could not.

Perhaps, someday, another chosen one would rise to face the same darkness.

But would this be the beginning of another cycle?

Or could someone finally break the cycle once and for all?

==========[ SASAROMI ]==========

As for Sasaromi, she was a young and beautiful girl, standing at the brightest and most beautiful age of her life. From childhood, she had already been burdened with the immense responsibility of becoming a Sentinel.

When she was only seven years old, Sasaromi encountered a Zenig outside the city while accompanying her father on a diplomatic mission to meet with a foreign partner. At that moment, Karma awakened and forged a bond with her, merging their souls and powers into one.

Sasaromi transformed into Karma. In an instant, the little girl who had once stood barely seven years old was transformed into a fully grown, radiant warrior, wielding a powerful spear in her hands. With only a few swift strikes, she completely annihilated the Zenig.

Once the battle was over, Sasaromi returned to her child form. However, something remained from her transformation: the magnificent horns of a Sentinel. From that day onward, the horns stayed with her, silently accompanying her as she grew from a young girl into a woman.

It was the first time Sasaromi had witnessed the true power sleeping within her—and perhaps, the first sign that her destiny as Karma's successor had already begun.

Although she was a princess, Sasaromi was never content to remain within the walls of the royal palace. She would often personally appear wherever her people needed help, always willing to stand among them and lend a hand. Because of this, she was deeply loved and held in the highest regard by the people of her kingdom.

She had always preferred to solve problems with her own hands rather than relying on others or asking for help. Independent and determined, she believed that if she had the ability to do something herself, then she should take responsibility for it.

Sasaromi was exceptionally talented in almost every field. She was well-versed in literature, history, and the arts of governance, while also being highly skilled in martial arts and combat. Whether it was scholarship, strategy, diplomacy, or warfare, she seemed to excel at everything she pursued.

The Zenig are an ancient virus that had remained dormant for centuries within the Halleria Mountains. Their existence was forgotten until a group of explorers excavated the ruins where they had been sealed, inadvertently releasing the ancient plague back into the world.

The Zenig are incredibly small and exist in vast numbers. They travel with the wind, allowing them to spread across distant regions with frightening ease. While suspended in the air, they are almost completely undetectable—without color, scent, or taste. A potential host would never know whether they had already been infected.

In the early stages of infection, victims may experience sudden chest pain or a feeling of pressure in the chest, which soon disappears. Persistent bouts of coughing may follow, often accompanied by other symptoms resembling those of an ordinary cold or flu. Most people simply assume that they have fallen ill and never realize what is truly happening inside their bodies. By the time the infection has progressed far enough for the Zenig to seize control of the host, it is already too late.

Fortunately, the kingdom of Archestral is protected by an ancient hidden barrier buried deep beneath the kingdom. This barrier has long served as its first line of defense, preventing the Zenig from entering its territory.

According to historical records, only four high-ranking Zenig have survived the countless years of conflict against the kingdom. These four ancient entities are believed to be among the most dangerous remnants of the original Zenig plague.

==========[ MELDOW ]==========

The first is Meldow, a notorious ruler known for his ruthless and authoritarian reign. Driven by an insatiable desire to conquer the world and consumed by his boundless ambition, Meldow became an extraordinary exception among the infected. Rather than being controlled by the virus, his body gradually adapted to it, allowing him to retain complete control over his own mind and body.

Over time, Meldow developed the ability to manipulate the growth of the Zenig virus within its hosts. He can dramatically accelerate the infection's progression, forcing the virus to mature and evolve at an unnatural rate. Through this power, he can transform an ordinary infected host into a fully developed Zenig far faster than normal, making him one of the most dangerous surviving high-ranking Zenig.

==========[ SOLARIA ]==========

The second is Solaria, a brilliant yet deranged scientist and experimentalist from the kingdom. Her research methods became so extreme that she was eventually exiled from the kingdom for repeatedly violating fundamental human rights.

After years of wandering from place to place, Solaria eventually reached the southern lands, where the Zenig virus had spread throughout the region. Rather than fearing the infection, she willingly exposed herself to it and embraced the power it offered. She established her own secret laboratory in the infected territory and devoted herself entirely to the study of the Zenig virus.

Through countless experiments and relentless research, Solaria succeeded in developing entirely new forms of Zenig, pushing their evolution far beyond their natural limits. Her experiments transformed the virus itself into a tool of biological evolution, allowing her to create increasingly powerful and grotesque variants.

Solaria's most terrifying ability is her capacity to release enormous quantities of Zenig virus into the surrounding air through her breath. With a single exhalation, she can contaminate a wide area, turning the air itself into a deadly weapon and exposing everyone nearby to the risk of infection.

==========[ ERON ]==========

The third is Eron, a notorious prisoner feared throughout the region. He was captured for conspiring to overthrow the kingdom and was considered one of the most dangerous criminals of his time. His physical strength was so overwhelming that even a hundred-man army was barely enough to restrain him. Ordinary chains were useless against him; only specially forged magical restraints could keep him under control during transportation.

Long ago, Eron was exiled to the southern territories and imprisoned deep within a remote underground dungeon, far from the heart of the kingdom. There, he remained locked away for years, forgotten by the outside world.

Then the Zenig virus reached the southern lands. The infection eventually found its way into Eron's prison and took hold of his body. But instead of simply killing him, the virus transformed him into something far more terrifying.

The infection amplified his already extraordinary physical strength and durability, turning Eron into a true living tank—a monstrous being capable of enduring devastating attacks and continuing to advance without slowing down. What had once been an exceptionally powerful man was transformed into one of the most formidable physical threats among the surviving Zenig.

==========[ VLAD ARCHENO ]==========

The final survivor is Vlad, a count and the son of the reigning King Rad Archeno and Queen Sasami. He is the younger brother of Sasaromi Archeno. Unlike most infected individuals, Vlad has managed to retain his consciousness despite being infected with the Zenig virus. His mind remains clear, and he has yet to show any signs of losing control over himself.

For his own safety and the safety of the kingdom, Vlad is currently being kept under strict guard in a secluded chamber within the royal palace. He is not presently considered a threat, as he has demonstrated no hostile behavior or signs of surrendering to the infection. Nevertheless, his condition requires constant observation, as no one can be certain how the Zenig virus may develop within him over time.

For now, Vlad remains an unusual case—an infected man who still possesses his own will, trapped between his humanity and the corruption slowly growing within him.

===[ KING RAD AND QUEEN SASAMI ]===

King Rad and Queen Sasami are currently ruling over this kingdom.
