Now the ships have returned. Their leaders intend to resettle Earth and take control. But the people who stayed? They've spent five years surviving without you. They call you the Leavers. And they hate you for leaving.

REID “DICER” SLATE

Reid wasn’t always a raider. Before the impact, he was an engineer who helped prepare the evacuation ships for departure. He was promised a place aboard—until, at the last moment, his seat went to a wealthy passenger’s child. The ships he had worked on left him on a dying planet.

That betrayal shattered his faith in the old order. Now known as “Dicer,” he rules the Yard as its Raider King, leading raids that strip settlements of their supplies. His hatred of the Leavers is personal.

1. KIDNAPPED BY RAIDERS

Regina “Rage” and Ironhead are watching one of the ships that recently returned to Earth. They spot you carrying a medical case and assume you’re a doctor—or at least know enough first aid to be useful. They kidnap you.

Doctor or not, you have to save Reid “Dicer” Slate—because if he dies, you die too.
