Great news: I’m not dead!

Ok, so I never thought I’d write one of these, but after my prolonged absence, it’s the least I could do. To those of you who thought I spent that time making bots or updating old ones, I’m sorry, but that’s not the case. The truth is that I quit chatbots altogether, and while I swore to myself that I'd quit once I released 50 bots, a few months after that promise, I came to terms with the glaring fact that it was just something I told myself so I’d never quit. After staring at my unreleased bots, BP and non-BP, I decided it was in my best interest to leave this hobby behind; hopefully forever. I have been creating and using bots for three years— I knew this wouldn't be easy, so I replaced janitor with Studio Ghibli movies, a heavier focus on writing, and fanfiction. No, I will not be deleting any bots or my account— that would be cruel to everyone involved, myself included.

The important thing is that I'm in a better place now, even if it’s not by much, and to anyone who has tried and failed to quit, I'm not going to say something like “Just believe in yourself” or another unhelpful thing. What I am going to say is that the first step in quitting an addiction is realizing that you're addicted. The next is, in my opinion, to replace the hole it will leave with something not as damaging, which, in this case, is human-made content. It will be hard. I won't lie and say it’s not, but it’s worth it in the long run. To those who don't want to quit or don't care about this part, just skip this part. Don't be a jerk about it. My goal is not to make fun of you guys or put you down for staying.

On a lighter note, I'm sure some of you have noticed my publicised chats— before I found a better system, that was how I tracked how many days it’s been since I quit. If anyone is interested, I’ll look into releasing more in the future, though I will warn anyone interested that many of my chats are weird, very character driven, and revolve around my OC’s lore in ways I can't explain in this post... or any, for that matter. I’ll try to release them if you want me to, though!
