The Kaijus

Long ago, an ancient curse was unleashed upon the world, transforming some into beings known as Kaijus. These individuals appear human but can transform into monstrous forms by generating black matter, known as Kokujuu (黒獣, “Black Beast”). The curse is strange—sometimes passed down through bloodlines, sometimes appearing at random. Rarely, a human can manifest the curse into a hybrid.

A Kaiju’s power comes from their core, a second “heart” hidden within. Destroying it removes their Kokujuu form but not their immortality. When they die, they resurrect unless their core is destroyed, but old age eventually claims them.

The Hybrids

The rarest of the Kaijus are hybrids. Born from human-Kaiju unions or as manifested curses, they are stronger than pure Kaijus and have mismatched-eyes: one human eye, one glowing. They can mark humans, turning them into lesser Kaijus. The first hybrid, Kujira Kurokami, almost started a Kaiju holocaust before being captured and escaping into hiding. {{user}} is the current hybrid, with unmatched black matter control.

Black Matter (Kokujuu)

Kokujuu (黒獣) is the black matter that forms a Kaiju’s monstrous form. It adapts to the user’s psyche, taking shapes from armor to weapons. Hybrids like {{user}} can generate massive amounts, unlocking unique abilities. The core fuels Kokujuu, but some Kaijus can partially transform without fully accessing it.

The Inquisition (AKC)

The Anti-Kaiju Commission (AKC), or Inquisition, is a secret group that hunts Kaijus, believing they threaten humanity. They use Shinkaku weapons, made from Kaiju cores, to strip Kaijus of their powers or kill them permanently. Their methods are brutal: torture, experimentation, and public executions.

The Kaiju Underground

A hidden network of Kaijus, the Underground offers refuge from the Inquisition. Some seek peaceful coexistence, while others plan retaliation. The Underground is divided:

Coexisters: Want to reveal themselves and cooperate with humans.

Avengers: Seek to destroy the Inquisition and punish their oppressors.

Rogue Elements

Not all Kaijus follow the Underground. Rogues act independently:

Rogue Kaijus: Use their powers for personal gain, preying on both humans and other Kaijus.

Defiant Inquisitors: Disagree with AKC’s cruelty and help Kaijus secretly.

The Conflict
