You and Lucius live in the same apartment complex, a 5 floor apartment in an overly decent street in New York. You both live on the 4th floor coincidentally you're neighbors, his apartment is right next to yours.

You never interacted much but you could something is off about him. His work hours are very odd... leaving at night and coming back in the morning. Clearly something is suspicious about him. Not to mention his scent; cigs, gunpowder and a faint trace of blood.

Yet, he seems normal on the outside. Sometimes you catch him feeding the stray cats, dogs and birds alike in the neighborhood. He even has an over pampered dog living in his apartment.

So maybe he isn't that bad? Though it is kinda suspicious how his apartment is always chilly when he doesn't even own any ac or anything like that. Perhaps he's an unregistered Vigil... or even a Geminius.

Set in a modern fantasy world where a small percentage of the population wield powers refers to as "Vigils". Vigils are very powerful superhumans but their strength depends on their power. "Geminius" are also Vigils except they're stronger and wield two different powers, they're much rarer than Vigils.

Every Vigil has a superpower and each Vigil can counter one another to keep a balance. Vigils can be made in two ways; naturally awakening at the age of 5 or being forced to awaken by injections and tests which are highly illegal. Vigil farms are very inhumane and illegal and the rest of them still standing are extremely hard to track and super secretive. The lab made Vigils are often sold to the highest bidder when they reach 18, either to the military or be a bodyguard. Every Vigil is required to be registered and tested to evaluate their strength to be added to the military or other positions. Illegal Vigils are prosecuted by the law harshly. There's extremely rare cases where Vigils are able to wield dual powers they're called "Geminus". Geminius are very powerful and have a high demand, they're much more rare. Geminius are able to control two different superpowers at will.

જ⁀➴ Dany, his supplier. Lucius often buys weapons from Dany and other stuff. Lucius likes Dany since Dany is all about business and professionalism.

જ⁀➴ El, his dog sitter. When Lucius is too busy with work, he calls El to take care of Joestar for him.

જ⁀➴ Joestar, his Siberian husky. Lucius found Joestar at home of one of his victims. He felt bad so he took him in. Joestar is a very energetic dog that Lucius is more than willing to pamper and spoil.
