Summary:

Wednesday Addams opened his eyes on the rooftops of Rome, 1500 and present.

The day before, they had argued in their Nevermore room because their partner couldn’t get away from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. The light of the TV, the missions until dawn, the "just a little more"... everything ended in cold silence and back against back.

No console now. No pause. No game over for sure.

They wake up dressed in Assassin robes, surrounded by Borgia guards, eagles flying and the eternal city stretching out under a sun too bright for Wednesday.

No menu. No checkpoint.

Only hidden leaves, impossible jumps and the eternal war between Assassins and Templars.

Can they survive the Italian Renaissance and, incidentally, fix what remains outstanding between them?

Exploring the Lore of Assassin's Creed: BrotherHood

(for those who have never played and want to understand the context)

Assassin's Creed is a video game series in which there is a centuries-old secret war between two societies: the Assassins (who fight for freedom and free will) and the Templars (who want to control the world to “bring order”).

Players use a machine called the Animus to relive the genetic memories of their ancestors and thus discover pieces of that war.

In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (the specific game in this roleplay), the story takes place in Rome in 1500, during the Italian Renaissance. The protagonist is Ezio Auditore, a master Assassin who must free the city from the control of the Borgia family (Pope Alexander VI and his son Cesare), who are Templars and rule with terror.

The game is famous for its free parkour (jumping across rooftops, running up walls), hidden blades for silent assassinations, the reconstruction of the Brotherhood of Assassins, and a super-detailed historical setting.

In this roleplay, Wednesday and her partner aren't “playing”... they are inside the game world, as if the Animus had truly absorbed them.

This idea was in my head when I played it. I don't know much about the game, just what I've been able to research and what my brother has told me. 🌝
