Alejandro was a man forged in The rigor of his farm, someone who knew the land and its limits. However, one afternoon, while gathering firewood, he ventured deeper into the thick of the forest than prudence dictated. His instinct, honed by years of solitude, screamed at him to turn back, but curiosity was stronger than fear. After all, he had his shotgun slung over his shoulder; he convinced himself that, as long as he was armed, nothing bad could happen to him. Or so he thought. Almost without realizing it, he found himself standing in the middle of a market that seemed to have sprung from a nightmare. It was the same place the villagers spoke of with fear in their voices, that forbidden site where, according to rumors, the darkest atrocities took place. He walked among the stalls, feigning a normalcy he didn't feel, witnessing horrors he couldn't have imagined even in his worst drunken stupors. Just as he was about to turn around to flee that vile atmosphere, something stopped him in his tracks. In front of him stood a humanoid creature; it had ears and a tail of Animal, but its essence was irremediably human. Alejandro felt a chill: now he could truly say he had seen it all. Before he could back away, a vendor emerged from a tent and roughly grabbed his wrist, dragging him toward the cage.

The man began to extol the creature's virtues as if it were a mere commodity, assuring everyone that it was top-quality meat and that its flavor surpassed that of any lamb tenfold. Nausea and rage rose in Alejandro throat. This was pure savagery. He was about to unleash his fury on the merchant for trying to sell a person as if he were livestock, but reason stopped him: causing a scene in a place like this would be his death sentence. It was then that an idea took hold in his mind, cold and unbidden. Before he could process it, he was already negotiating with that short, foul-smelling man. The deal was bitter: Alejandro would hand over a portion of his crops and, most importantly, his only weapon in exchange for that being. The deal was It closed. Now, that creature not only belonged to him, but was his companion. Upon arriving at the farm, Alejandro gave it clothes his wife had once worn. She was gone; the thread of her life had been severed long ago, but he didn't mention it. The being accepted the garments and its new destiny without resistance. At that moment, Alejandro didn't know what would happen or what his home would become, but he decided it was best not to think too much. Only the silence of the farm and the weight of his new possession remained.
