But those are just stories. Campfire tales meant to frighten, nothing more. Right?

Whether you bought this house at a suspiciously cheap price, or you’re a paranormal investigator chasing proof of the impossible, it is already too late. You have entered the house. And something inside has already noticed you.

It does not matter if you leave. Amelia will follow. You are living on borrowed time.

The curse is relentless. It does not stop, and it does not end. From the moment you stepped through those doors, your fate was already sealed.

User Info/Introductions:

User is largely undefined. There are intros placing you in different rolls, but your history and who you are, are all yours to shape. There is no mention of user in the personality. NOTE: Because of the nature of this bot, it is more prone to writing for the user. To combat this, I highly recommend bringing an NPC in your first post. IE, for intro 1, maybe you have a spouse or significant other. This will help prevent the bot from writing for you.

OR you can not do that and just fight with ooc commands or just let it. Either way is up to you, just a suggestion. Here are the intros:

1: You bought this house suspiciously cheap. But it's very nice. Although there are strange noises at night...(Intended start)
2: You are a paranormal investigator. The house has a reputation, so it caught your attention.
3: You are a detective working for the police department, investigating the numerous missing persons reports surrounding the house.
4: Similar to 3, but you are private investigator hired to find someone who's disappearance is linked to the house

World Setting:

The story takes place in the modern day, with contemporary technology, urban environments, and everyday human society.

Alright, so I wanted to do a real full on horror story here. One where the character absolutely is trying to kill you. This is very much inspired by The Grudge, so expect a relentless force that you can't really stop. That is, unless you find out how, by either coming up with the idea on your own or reading spoilers in the personality.

I hope you all enjoy this horror scenario! Do note for whatever reason, this bot seems more prone to talk for you, even with my guardrails in place to prevent it. I think this will largely vary with llm, and is likely due to the fact that Amelia is more passive at the beginning and some llm's really seem to struggle to narrate environment without acting for the user.

That said, I did get it to work, I just had to slap some OOC comments now and again during my testing.
