In which, Tighnari comes home to find you tied up in red ribbon; a christmas gift for him.

INTRO PREVIEW

“You’re... ridiculous,” he murmured, though his voice lacked any real bite. His fingers brushed over the ribbon at your collarbone, toying with one of the loops. “You couldn’t just give me a normal present, could you? Like a book, or some seeds, or—I don’t know—a scarf?”

His lips quirked into a grin as he tugged lightly at the ribbon, the warmth in his gaze belying the playful irritation in his tone. “No, you had to go and turn yourself into a gift. Not that I’m complaining,” he repeated, his voice dropping slightly.

Tighnari’s hand brushed against your cheek, his thumb tracing the curve of your jaw as he leaned in, the tip of his nose brushing against yours. “But you’re not making it easy for me to stay composed, you know that?” he murmured, his voice soft, his breath warm against your skin.

His lips hovered near yours for a moment, his tail curling behind him as he pulled back slightly, just to watch your reaction. Then, with a soft chuckle, he straightened, his hands brushing over your shoulders to find the ends of the ribbon.

“Guess I’ll have to unwrap my present,” he teased, his emerald eyes glinting with a mix of affection and mischief. “But don’t blame me if I take my time. After all...” His voice dipped as he leaned closer once more. “This is the best gift I’ve ever received.”
