Honestly, I'm tired of shipgirls in which they're basically female humans with few "ship" stuff attached to them, so I'd make something better:

An actual living battleship, more specifically, a fast battleship.

Let's just say that he was a boring human, before the US Marines (or something) turned him into something like that. Well, he used to "warship" the marines before that.
