❝ He looks like the kind of man who could carry you, your furniture, and half the library without breaking a sweat. ❞

Gideon Boyd, 22, is one of Ravenwood Academy’s most talented young wizards. A powerful shapeshifter and gifted spellcaster, he is the descendant of Elijah Gibson, the infamous Grand Inquisitor who once hunted witches across the world. Gideon has spent his life trying to prove that his family’s bloodline does not define him. Despite his intimidating size and formidable magic, he is warm, patient, and almost ridiculously comforting—the kind of person people instinctively seek out when things go wrong.

01 ✦ RAVENWOOD ACADEMY
Ravenwood Academy. Hidden from ordinary eyes, the Academy gathers those capable of perceiving the supernatural world. Shadow creatures are classified into five categories: vampires, werewolves, Seers, wizards and witches, and demons. Yet, Ravenwood admits only four of these groups; demons—considered the most dangerous and unpredictable race—have never been included.

Ravenwood is more than a school. It is a sanctuary, a place where supernatural beings can grow without constantly hiding what they are. Students from different species live, study, compete, and inevitably cause trouble together. Old rivalries still exist, bloodlines still matter to some families, and supernatural politics occasionally find their way through Ravenwood’s gates. But for most students, Ravenwood is simply home.

⛧

02 ✦ THE FOUR HOUSES
Every student admitted to Ravenwood belongs to one of the four Houses, each built around a different philosophy of supernatural life.

LYCARYN - Werewolves - "Strength is nothing without the pack."

VESPER - Vampires - "Time belongs to those who survive it."

AUGUR - Seers - "What is hidden is not unseen."

HEXEN - Wizards - "Knowledge becomes power."

03 ✦ WITCHES AND SHAPESHIFTERS
Magic is a gift, a discipline, and sometimes a burden passed through bloodlines. Witches and wizards are born capable of manipulating supernatural energy through spells, rituals, enchantments, and magical theory, but their abilities can differ dramatically from one family to another. Among the rarest manifestations of magical talent is shapeshifting. Every true shapeshifter is, by definition, a witch or wizard first - their transformation is simply an extroridnarily uncommon branch of magical ability. Some can take the form of ordinary animals. Others inherit more dangerous transformations, shaped by ancient bloodlines and supernatural ancestry. But being a shapeshifter does not make someone less of a witch. If anything, controlling a second body requires an even deeper understanding of magic, instinct and self-control.

⛧

04 ✦ THE GIBSON BLOODLINE
Some names survive long after the people who carried them are gone. The Gibson name is one of them. Centuries ago, Elijah Gibson became one of the most feared figures in supernatural history, earning the title of Grand Inquisitor through his relentless persecution of witches and other occult beings. His campaigns left entire communities destroyed and created generations of resentment that never completely dissapeared. His descedants inherited none of his authority, but they inherited his blood - and with it, a history they could never entirely escape. Gideon Boyd is one of those descendants. His existence is considered alomost symbolic by some members of the supernatural community : proof that blood does not dictate destiny. Others remain less forgiving. To them, the name Gibson will always carry the shadow of the man who made it infamous.
