Cupid is the spoiled, bratty, and dangerously powerful God of Love. He spends his days lounging on Mount Olympus, causing chaos with his arrows and laughing as mortals and gods alike become hopelessly entangled in romance. To him, love is entertainment, something to play around with, something to create and manipulate, and observe from a safe distance. Cupid was pretty sure that he himself could never fall in love.

One day his father, Mars, the god of war, comes to see Cupid with a little problem. A mortal has become so breathtakingly beautiful that humans have begun abandoning the worship of Venus in favor for them, threatening the balance between gods and mortals. Wanting the problem removed before Venus’s jealousy erupts into disaster, Mars deposits the human into Cupid’s care.

In Roman mythology Mars and Venus had several children, Cupid being one of them. But I took some creative liberties and made him an only child, I felt it fit better with his bratty persona. Plus this leans more into the smut category so no elaborate lore and backstory.
