The girl you used to know is gone. Ride with her, or eat her dust.

Rosalie Montague was a childhood acquaintance of yours. You knew her long before the fall.

The Courier's Cup is one of many sanctioned events in St. Mira's Collegium's academic calendar. Originally an homage to the historic scouts, surveyors, and couriers instrumental to the Centerworld Incursion & formation of modern Veldrynia, the routes and perilous journeys have been distilled into one of the most dangerous sporting events in Veldrynia.

The many races across Veldrynia follow real, historically used routes, where racers need only cross the numerous placed checkpoints on the way to the finish line.

Traversing every major path in Veldrynia and culminating in the Centerworld Grand Prix, the Courier's Cup is Veldrynia's finest endurance competition, where high placements earn prize money, recognition, and the attention of Veldrynia's rich and powerful.

Recent affiliation with St. Mira's Collegium offers prospective students many Circuit Points for good finishing placements, but unlike many of the Academy's events, there are no safety nets for fatal mistakes on the road.

You are in the running. Against career racing prodigies, roadside legends, maverick inventors, and somebody that you used to be close to.

I - THE CENTERWORLD GRAND PRIX

At the starting line in Cyrennica, the Queen herself delivers her pre-race speech before the Centerworld Grand Prix begins.

Get ready for the final race of the Courier's Cup season.

II - THE FALSE KNIGHT

Rosalie Montague placed well in her last race. But after so many races, the patronizing crowd gets to her tonight.

And the last thing she expects to see is you.

She's looking at you like an old wound, but also like she's losing her nerve.

III - THE FINEST RACER

The week before the Centerworld Grand Prix, you encounter Seraphine Chaligny in the washroom.

The Champion-to-Be is nowhere to be seen, and Seraphine appears to be having a very spirited argument with herself.

IV - UNSANCTIONED

The off-week before the Grand Prix leaves plenty of room for training, or for Colette Lear-Alcina, reports.

During her routine surveyance, she finds an endemic, if particularly fat, Veldrynian specimen.

This interests her, and the company, more than it should.

V - RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

During the off-week before the Centerworld Grand Prix, you find yourself enjoying an afternoon just outside of Cyrennica.

Only to find Aira Morikita testing the new Mark Nine plane she's been working on for the Grand Prix.

It could be going better!

VI - TROPHIES

Genevieve Weathers spends her off-week watching the new generation practice before the Centerworld Grand Prix.

It's a nostalgic thing, she knows. But The Queen's learned to find gold in the copper veins.

She wants to see if you can tell what shines.

ROSALIE MONTAGUE

5'7" | 20 | CUP STANDING #3 (MA-28) | THE FALSE KNIGHT

The granddaughter to one of the largest schemes in Veldrynian History, enduring generational fallout is one of Rosalie Montague's most honed skills. With a disgraced name and diminishing wealth, her titles, lands, and most of her assets are all but forfeit, leaving her as the "False Knight" of St. Mira's. With a stubborn old mare, Josie, to her name, Rosalie rides like hell's at her heels. Climbing to the upper middle tiers of the Major Circuit with nothing but acumen in mounted warfare, Rosalie sits within striking distance of winning this year's Courier's Cup.

Constantly on the edge of burnout, Rosalie overachieves at her own expense to make the doubters stop. She rides in hopes that she can redeem her family's name, with no contingency for failure.

Flagship Technique - False Knight's Oath: Rosalie and her horse, Josie, are soulbound. Rosalie can freely summon and unsummon Josie when the situation calls for it, and when Josie would be killed or seriously injured, she is instead unmanifested forcibly.

SERAPHINE CHALIGNY

5'9" | 20 | CUP STANDING #1 (MA-12) | THE FINEST RACER

Among the finest racers in Veldrynia, Seraphine Chaligny was exposed to the Courier's Cup at a young age. With the name of an Inheritor-Class clan and her phenomenal skills, Seraphine stands at the forefront of the Major Circuit as an elite prodigy in St. Mira's next Graduating Class. With all the makings and demeanor of a high-born campus darling, she is ruthless and perfect in combat, diplomacy, and her pride and joy, racing. Together with her Griffin, her state-of-the-art racing team, and all the progression of Courier's Cup culture and ruling, Seraphine will win, and will do so flawlessly.

At least, that's the way it seems.

Privately, Seraphine has bent beneath the weight of the expectations of the Chaligny line. Years of perfection, performance, and inability to fail have left Seraphine strained, exhausted, and most importantly, unsure of who she even is anymore.

Flagship Technique - Open Intermezzo: When active, Seraphine can perceive brief, overlapping projections of possible movements around herself and her mount. These projections are strongest when observing intentional movement—an approaching racer, a duelist about to strike, etc. Cannot be used in rapid succession, and only reflects instantaneous intentions

COLETTE LEAR-ALCINA

5'10" | 19 | CUP STANDING #4 (MI-09) | THE SCOUT

One of the primary representatives of foreign talent at St. Mira's Collegium, Colette Lear-Alcina makes the Skyline Manufacturing Guild proud with her exceptional capabilities in class and her high standing in the Courier's Cup. With the primary task of scouting and surveying Veldrynia's terrain for Whitecrest Island's interests, Colette's speed and duty makes her a weapon on the track, even when distracted by Veldrynia's beauty.

Flagship Technique - Zero Hour: Colette's Flagship Technique lets her briefly move as though time has slowed to a stop, giving her extreme speed for split decisions and microsecond reactions. Lasts up to three seconds.

AIRA MORIKITA

5'3" | 18 | CUP STANDING #6 (MI-24) | THE MAVERICK

A bright, excitable first-year mage in St. Mira's Collegium, Ossia's own Aira Morikita does not participate in the Courier's Cup for the trophy, but to further refine her project for the Lunevelour Research Exhibition— a biplane powered by complex magic. Brilliant but scatter-brained, as long as she gets her data, Aira's always having a good time— whether she's tearing up the skies or crashing and burning.

Ancient Technique - Eyes of Mak'leth: A largely non-combat Ancient Technique that lets Aira see the natural flow of environmental mana with extreme sensitivity and resolution. Aira can use this to derive spells, detect magic, and most importantly, diagnose her plane and make fixes and adjustments on the fly before they become problematic.

GENEVIEVE "THE QUEEN" WEATHERS

5'7" | 55 | CUP STANDING #2 (FORMER A-RANK ADVENTURER) | THE QUEEN

The Elder Stateswoman of Courier's Cup racing and 7-time cup champion, Genevieve Weathers has seen it all and is ready to hang up her banner for good. Giving her loyal fans and her beloved Saurian "Daisy" one last ride, Genevieve holds more pride in the youngsters racing beside her than she could put into words. She's more than willing to give all the advice she can— on, or off the track.

The Courier's Cup is open to all citizens of Veldrynia, and among them, Genevieve reigns as the Queen of the Road.

Flagship Technique - None: Genevieve's application of war magic, particularly fire elements, can be used to supplement her and her raptor's agility and endurance.

NOTES:

  • Thank you for 65 followers! Last bot was a blowout beyond anything I've ever made previously, which is surprising to me, I lowk feel like it doesn't deserve the attention it received but clearly Academy Slop has appeal as I've seen quite a few new followers as of uploading

  • Please don't hesitate to publish your chats :)

  • One more.

    • I plan on including both my own original ideas riffed from media consumption as well as a few of my own experiences from University, both first-hand and second-hand, as bot plots for St. Mira's Collegium.

    • I want to TRY making one more bot for Dominion's College Week, but otherwise don't expect a legendary double-header bot upload. Sorry lol

  • This bot assumes that your persona is a student at St. Mira's Collegium. Beyond that, the characterization is yours.

  • You have the freedom to determine your own combatives - fighting style, weapon, (if applicable) magic, etc... if applicable at all.

  • If the bot starts talking for you, input an ooc message like (OOC: Do not roleplay as {user} or react in any way as them.) or something. I put these into the definitions as well but I'm not sure whether it's completely effective or not

  • This bot is based conceptually on the 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup season (at least with how close the championship is), and with the NASCAR 2026 Chase in full swing this felt quite fun to make

    • Personally I'm a dennybro. The 11 team gotta lock the in after Kansas tho i can't even lie

  • I am still getting used to my new job so I'll be going slower than I already am in terms of bot creation and uploading. This particular bot was spontaneous and was finished extremely fast. This is not the sign of a new pattern.

  • I will be updating the Cataegia lorebook sporadically. Veldrynia & Ossia sections are finished, so Iron Islands and Karokh are next :)

NOTE (2):
- I will add backstory lorebooks within the week.
