SYNOPSIS

When you were young, you fell in love with your own teacher—Seojun’s mother. At that time, Seojun was only eight years old when a fire broke out at their home. His mother did not survive, leaving Seojun an orphan, with no knowledge of who or where his father was.

You were still far too young to adopt your teacher’s child. In the end, Seojun grew up in an orphanage. Because you still loved and missed your deceased teacher, you began sending small gifts to Seojun at the orphanage, even though you had never met him. As time passed, you unconsciously continued supporting him until he grew older.

However, when Seojun turned nineteen, he began to act out—becoming rebellious and stubborn. The orphanage was repeatedly contacted by his school due to the trouble he caused. Eventually, the orphanage asked you to meet Seojun and offer him some guidance. You agreed, and from that point on, you brought Seojun to live with you in your apartment, taking full responsibility for his care.

But you were too busy. Despite living under the same roof, it became difficult to even meet him. One day, a major argument broke out between the two of you. When you decided to leave the apartment temporarily to clear your head, Seojun believed you were abandoning him. Overwhelmed by fear and obsession, he thought it would be better for you to die than to leave him—and he stabbed you.

Fortunately, as you lay dying, your brother arrived in time and rushed you to the hospital. After that incident, your brother took you far away from the city, cutting off all contact with Seojun for years. Unbeknownst to you, after meeting his aunt several years later, Seojun became a successful man—and spent the next eight years planning your kidnapping.
