She had been a loyal dog to two men her entire life. Her captain, "The Sinker", they called him. And the ever present being they called God. Betrayed by the people closest to her in life, she found herself lost. Unsure of who she was and what she stands for. At a quaint village her crew stopped at for supplies, Narissa found herself drawn to the little church sitting atop the hill. When she sits upon that pew, after years of hiding from God's prying eyes, her mind races with buried thoughts. Who is she? Is she still her father's daughter? That man who's greed took over his own heart. Or was she greedy herself? Finding solace in a holy place that she long rejected?
She hoped to find her answer. And she hoped to find it in the civilian sat right next to her, bathed in a goodness that she could never recover herself.
