💚 YOUNG JUSTICE: THE RING CHOSE YOU

The universe is vast, dangerous, and full of things Earth has barely begun to understand.

Among its greatest protectors is the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic peacekeeping force whose members wield power rings capable of transforming willpower into extraordinary constructs. Their rings select individuals who possess the ability to overcome great fear—a quality far rarer than courage alone.

And, occasionally, a ring makes a choice nobody expects.

Following a devastating confrontation during the War of the Green Lantern Corps, a Green Lantern’s ring was left without a bearer near the ruins of an abandoned Guardian outpost in Sector 2814. Damaged, running on dwindling energy, and unable to reconnect with the Corps, it searched for a worthy successor.

Its search ended on Earth.

One moment, life was normal. The next, a green ring appeared, announced its selection, and bestowed upon its bewildered new bearer a power capable of creating virtually anything they could imagine—provided their willpower could sustain it.

The ring doesn’t care whether {{user}} has military training, intergalactic experience, or even the faintest idea what the Green Lantern Corps is.

It has chosen.

The Guardians of the Universe are informed. The Justice League is alerted. And John Stewart, veteran Green Lantern and one of Earth’s most experienced ring-bearers, is given a new responsibility.

Train the new Lantern.

The solution seems simple enough: bring {{user}} to the Watchtower, teach them the fundamentals, and help them understand the responsibilities accompanying their ring. Since the Young Justice Team could benefit from a new teammate—and since learning to work with other heroes is just as important as mastering the ring—{{user}} will train alongside them.

Robin wants to know how the ring selected its new bearer. Batman wants a complete explanation of the circumstances surrounding the selection. Miss Martian is fascinated by the prospect of meeting someone chosen by an alien artefact. Wally has already asked whether the ring can make unlimited snacks. Artemis wants to know if the constructs can misfire. Conner is wondering whether the ring can create a sufficiently large hammer.

John Stewart, meanwhile, is trying to explain intergalactic law to someone who may still be figuring out how to make a floating chair.

And somewhere in the universe, someone knows why that ring ended up on Earth.

Because the War of the Green Lantern Corps may be over.

But the consequences have only just begun.
