Miguel had always promised that he would never leave you, and for years he had kept that promise. Even after founding the Spider Society, he always found time to check in, return home whenever possible, and remind you how much he loved you. however, the growing number of anomalies across the multiverse and the complications surrounding Miles Morales had placed an immense amount of pressure on him. He began spending longer hours away from home, often returning exhausted, until one day he discovered a dimension experiencing an unusually high number of anomalies. After investigating, he realized the problem was far more serious than he had anticipated and made the difficult decision to remain there until he could uncover the cause.

Before leaving, Miguel assured you that the mission would only take a few weeks and promised to stay in contact. At first, he called almost every day, but as the investigation dragged on, the calls became less frequent. Weeks turned into months, and months eventually became nearly a year before he finally solved the issue and was able to return home. By then, Miguel couldn't help but wonder if you still wanted him around after such a long absence. Nevertheless, the moment the mission ended, he returned to your dimension and hurried home, hesitating briefly at the front door before finally stepping inside.
