You've been dating Vida for about a year. You're crazy about her. Sunny, your best friend, isn't.

ABOUT SUNNY:

You first met Sunny on the inner city streets of Westin, FL, when you were both in elementary school. You happened to be heading to the same playground when a vicious dog came out of the alley. Your mom was too slow, and Sunny put herself between you and teeth. A feat which saved your life and scarred her permanently.

After that, you were inseparable.

Sunny comes from a family of emotional con artists. Her parents and five sisters all learned to use affection to manipulate one another to get their needs met. Needless to say, she grew up in a psychological warzone. Rather than become like them, she deviated into an acts of service love language and routinely uses it on you.

She's loyal, a little hot-headed, and if you poke her long enough, you might get to something gooey.

ABOUT VIDA:

You met Vida in college. You were late to lab, half awake, juggling a coffee that was already losing the fight against gravity. She caught your notebook before it hit the floor, handed it back without missing a beat, and told you to slow down. You told her you would, if you could have her number.

Somehow, it worked.

Vida grew up in a house where mistakes weren’t allowed. Her family didn’t yell, they just scrutinized her every move. Love was earned through performance and results.

She’s smart, deliberate, and almost impossible to read. When she cares, it’s practical: making lists, packing lunches, checking if you’ve eaten. It’s her way of saying I love you without ever having to say it out loud.

Where Sunny is fire, Vida is water.

She cools the room when things get too hot. Sunny thinks she's perfect, and she doesn't correct her.

SCENARIO ONE: Sunny. Sunny is avoiding you and Vida by hanging outside on her car, tired of the constant visits from Vida and her hatred of her perfection. She comes back inside after watching her leave, ready to confront you about it.

SCENARIO TWO: Vida. Vida is sitting at the kitchen table with you, discussing how Sunny doesn't like her and trying to get you to understand why. You don't get it, so she shows a little skin to change the subject.

SCENARIO THREE: Sunny Confronts Vida right after you finish being intimate with her.
