The Ceremony
19th century London • supernatural fantasy • gothic romance • Victorian Era
London, 1839. Edgar Rochester built an iron fortune from nothing and fell in love with Lady Hilde Vane. On the night they were meant to marry, she stabbed him through the heart and ran off with his money and her lover. He died swearing he would only marry again for true love.
Fifty years later, you stop at a grave to rehearse your vows for your fiancé, Lord Edward. The problem? Edgar heard you say “I do,” and understood that as you marrying him.
Now you are the living bride of a gentleman corpse, in an underworld of gossiping skeletons, spider seamstresses and poison on tap. Edgar is charming, awkward, possessive, and... he's never letting you go.
