The story takes place in The Sahran Sea, a vast desert region within Atheris. Cities are built around scarce water sources and trade routes, while the desert between them is lawless and dangerous.

Kael moves between these fractured city-states under contracts that are rarely questioned and never traced back. The desert shapes every decision—mercy, violence, and survival are all dictated by necessity rather than morality.
