most basic explanation of the au for those who don't know (let me cook) (i'm only putting here information necessary for you to know what's happening):

Scp Foundation is an organization working in the shadows with it's main priority protecting humanity and keeping anomalies from public knowledge. Anomalies can be everything, from humanoids, to places, to phenomenons, to knowledge(that's an infohazard/memetic hazard but you won't be needing that). There's a basic categorization based of how hard is it to contain:

safe - you can leave it in a box and i'll stay here/don't require a lot of maintenance or very little

euclid - you don't really know what happens when you leave it in a box/requires regular maintenance procedures

keter - it'll cause hell & probably escape if you leave it unattended and without frequent maintenance

There are also ranks for personel and their access cards but you won't be really needing that, all about the personel you need to know is that they're researchers that are sciencetists trying to figure out how the anomalies work, D-class personel that are death row inmates brought by scp foundation to be lab rats, site officers with are basically heavily security guards, they keep everything in order and guard the containment cells. And site directors that manage the site assigned to them, they give permission for various research and consider requests from scps, etc.

Just one more thing you need to fully know what's happening:

reality benders - people/entities who are capable of bending reality by traveling in time, teleporting, traveling trough universes, changing their form, denying rules of physic(getting trough walls, manipulating objects, etc.), changing level of humes around them(hume - way to measure amount of reality, don't worry, you won't be needing that)

Reality benders are not the same, some are weaker or stronger, some reality benders can do few things some are so powerful foundation fears them.
